i think these lyrics need some corrections but i just cant figure it out what the missing words are... i think its more like forgive you, thats what you want you roll back and you're wasted, and i'm all torn up i bury promise here you would come back once your feelings are.. i think it starts with "I pulled over for a feedbag" instead of teabag :) I think they arrive at a Truckstop and Joey thinks someone who commited suicide. Its too complicated to guess what it means exactly when you dont know the story. Then he is telling his bandmates about his thoughts and Joey thinks they will make jokes about this "i pulled over for nostalgia, i thought of suffering the joke..." but they avoid a solution, they simple continue driving Amazing lyrics |

| I think this song is about someone who want to end his dependence from others like parents or teachers, so he/she searches someone who seems independent and free. Some the person asks someone who has this attributes, obviously a 'punk' guy. He laughs about this request, he cant even help himself, doesnt have a job, just able to show how to be a slob, how can he be the savior of this person? He's exiting and new, but he can only provide empty promises. The person is better off in the opinion of the punk when she lives a 'normal' life, and he/she will believe him when he "chokes", his "fuel tank runs dry". | |

i wonder why nobody added a comment to this great song... i think its about a guy who is in love with a girl he knew from school, but he wasnt able to tell her his feelings or take her hand. I think here is the connection to the second part with the young children, they were just too inexperienced (or they just didnt have a clue because they were never taught love?), and couldnt do it different. Now they meet again, and the answer is still no, he leaves him standing alone. But he still wants her, he was denied so many times, now he ignores the truth and hopes she will change her mind, realizing life is too short to try... |

I totally agree with rbfboy212 that its about someone who he is dying, and i think he was pretty young. "Did you know i was just as young as you" (before the disease started). He doesnt want to die, but its inevitable, he was so happy, and now he lies helplessly in his bed and watches his friends saying goodbye. I think you're totally wrong Nimbus, its not from the point of view of the visitor but from the person in bed, and i really want to say that he is not mean or anything. "I'm dying, is there something you would like to say?" I'm thinking what i would do if someone is really saying this to me, its too cruel to imagine. "Make the feeling go away", the feeling that he is dying without beeing able to see some of the things he wanted to see. He's long dead, trapped in his bed. This songs shows me what is possible with words, i mean the lyrics perfectly catch the situation, snd the music just fits. Just sad, one one the best songs possible. |

You dont have to be sure, i'm happy when i know what it possibly means. I agree with you that its about someone who is about to hang himself. I wasn't sure, too, but i think "The sun goes down too soon" is symbolic for his early death, so it makes perfect sense with the suicide theory. But I'm not sure what their relationship was like. It was short (You came to quickly and left the same (quickly)|i hope i got it right|) and he was surprised because she stayed. Perhaps she was (in his eyes) too beautiful/'good' for a guy like him. But he knew she will leave soon, but still he falls in love with her, even wants to kill/kills himself because he lost her. He knows this suicide doesn't change her, he even wonders who she will kill tonight with her behavior. But I wonder why he's still after the girl, why "he wants her back, only to give her away", he knows that she is 'evil', and not too blind to see it, even saying it... I'm still looking for a hint what the first 5 lines mean, and if its possible to figure out if its news or noose. I think its news in the first part and noose in the seconds, but just because i dont know if "hanging on the breaking news" has a meaning. |

I have a hard time understand all the lines because i just learned english at school, so i hope you can help me a bit. I think you didnt get all the lines right: i dont think its "I'm only waiting to get out of the way" but something like waving, but i dont know what its about anyway. "I know its the check in before its the pain" what is the meaning of this? And i think its not "before" but some word i dont understand :-) Would be nice if you could help me out, i love this song (but the Bad Astronaut version) |
