i'm going to go against what everybody is saying here.
he is singing it to an old friend with whom he had a disagreement with. his friend didn't agree with his choice in girls, and that drew them apart.
he's explaining what he saw in said girl to the friend that he drifted apart from.
reasoning : he says "if you find yourself here" addressing the friend, and goes on to say "I just know that she warms my heart". If he was still addressing the friend, he would have said "you warmed/warm".

yeah i saw em on the 22nd... i agree with what "emo-a-kid" said (to just say that this song was amazing live. Incredibly emotional. Perhaps I am just an overly emotional fool, but it was really deep. You could tell it really meant something to him, it hit home) it really was at the show i saw... they had everybody in the crowd quiet down, and he played it... it was soo great, and their set kicked ass... |
