Third Eye Blind – Slow Motion Lyrics 23 years ago
Jeannie, about Jenkins home town, i checked a couple of semi reliable websites real quick and they all said he was taken to Wisconsin and then to Palo Alto, CA where he grew up. One of the sites also said he went to Gunn High. I think it would be cool if that was part of the inspiration for the song. i like little background pieces on good songs like this one.

Counting Crows – Monkey Lyrics 23 years ago
Alright. This is a stab in the dark, but i really like this rhythm and flow of this song's lyrics and insturmentals.

"Monkey" may represent an alternate sort of personality of good feeling. At the time, the narrator is in a "lonely spiral" not going much of anywhere or doing much of anything:
"All dressed up
No place to go"
Monkey might just be the narrator's self confidence which he thinks of as a seperate person sort of like an invisible friend. When the monkey is around its like there buddies, and they go out on the town and meet people. The narrator feels like he needs monkey to be able to get out, and he wonders why monkey doesn't need him too:
Hey monkey don't you want to be needed too? "

That's what i think. maybe im just completely missing the broadsdie of the barn and monkey is a nickname for an actual person or something. who knows!?

Nelly Furtado – ... On The Radio (Remember the Days) Lyrics 23 years ago
In response to the whole swearing issue brought up by Ms. Michelle 23, I see think the word "shit" is used very decently. "Shit" adds a certain vernacular feeling to the song that couldn't be accomplished in same way if a word like "junk" or "crap" were substituted. Say to yourself, "You liked me till’ you heard my junk on the radio." it just doesn't have the same feel or flow to it. "Shit" also is a much easier to say quickly and tersely to make everything fit together more smoothly. That's it. I'm done ranting.
