good tune and i like the lead from the guy from sunny day...but I must say this ep isn't as great lyrically as Chris's other stuff...the line "so we can get some" is pretty cheesey and weak...but it's a good tune...it's nice to see Chris sing a happy emo tune..horrray! |

Truthsayer has a point...I think this song is about a friend of Chris's who has lost fait in God.
"The Martyr is meaningless": Martyr is someone who dies for their faith, and in this case the person has forgotten this. Therfore his / her faith is dead.
"I begged you not to go..watched the floor as you retreated: The person left his/her faith and has "retreated" back to his/her old lifestyle before they came to know the saving grace of God
"Does it comfort you to know you fought the good fight":
The good fight is "the good fight of faith" which is found in the book of timothy in the holy bible...I'm pretty sure that this song is related to one's faith which is lost or dead...peace love and unity...feel free to comment or bash cause you have no respect for other's opinions....haha..Emo Kid* |
