I agree, I don't know what's happened to her, perhaps she died suddenly, perhaps she's left him? But he's saying "look, all her stuff is there, she can't be gone, she must be coming back" and he's also saying "don't cry for me", which suggests death. |

Boo for Carrie. Kelly's much better :-p
Think they've done this twice, once just after AI and once in July 07, and I think that the 07 version is better just because they seem more comfortable and Kelly's voice just gets better. |

I relate to two parts of this song:
I'm confusing as hell.
Yeah I'm north and I'm south.
And I'll probably never have it all figured out
I don't need to be fixed and I certainly don't need to be found.
First part is that my head is seriously screwed up due to a number of things, and I doubt that it'll ever get better because the problem won't go away, it's my sexuality, it's in me, it'll be with me til I die.
Second part is aimed at the church, I think, well that's what I see it as, how they want to "save" me or "fix" me, and I don't think I need to be saved or fixed because even if I did find God, it wouldn't change who I am. |

It means so much to me too, just because I've stuck in this town since I was born and feel like I don't belong here, and wish I had the means to "move on" and start life all over again. |

I've heard some of the hardcore country fans basically slagging this off, but I think it's just a tongue-in-cheek pop at traditional "my wife left me, my dog died" country songs |

It just sums up a night out at a gig and the characters involved in it. You got the teenies (for want of a better word) round the back, trying to get a glimpse of the band, the girl trying to get backstage, the mum and dad acting like kids (that line reminds me of my mum actually), and the drunk girl that really doesn't care |

Yeah, it took me a while to figure it out too, but the second verse clued me in. I didn't get the first verse til now, but I figured it had something to do with not wanting religion shoved down the throats of kids at school |

| Rascal Flatts – Twist Of Magic Lyrics

yeah, it's in the kinda Fairytale Of New York vein, it sounds like it's a romantic christmas song, but then you hear the lyrics.
I love the way that they say something really shocking "I put your mother on a grayhound" and "I sank your bass boat" but it's for the good of both of them (so her mother can see the world, and so they could spend more time together). It always makes me smile. |

| Tim McGraw – Can't Tell Me Nothin' Lyrics

|
I can't believe no one's commented this song. I love the way he's ignored everything anyone's ever said to him, and now he's happy.
"They say be careful what you wish for
I wanted to be her man
Two babies and a trailer later here I am
Can't tell me nothin"
I guess the moral is to go with your instinct and not to follow orders, cos if it makes you happy, then who cares? |

"I made a bad miscalculation

I love this song, especially the first few lines: "Starin at you, taking off your makeup, wondering why you even put it on" and "You smile and shake your head, as if you don't believe me" because it reminds me so much of my boyfriend. He tells me I'm gorgeous almost every day, but I just shake my head and don't believe him. And even when I don't put my makeup on, he still thinks I'm beautiful |

I'd put my two cents in, but everything's already been said. It's such an amazing song, especially the live version, and at the moment, it just speaks to me...I'm sick of being on my own when it seems like the whole world has someone, but there's a bit of hope that maybe there is someone out there for me. |

I love this song full stop. And the first lines in this version especially. It's just an amazing song, and you can literally see the pictures he paints. Like you can visualise the picture he's supposedly looking at, you can imagine the scenes he paints...or maybe that's just the writer inside me talking, lol. I wrote a fanfic based on this version, but that's another story... |

anyway, can we stop the sarcasm and go onto the serious stuff?
I thought it was a pretty cool idea for a song, she's saying she tried to write a love song for this guy, but she couldn't find all these complicated words to tell him how she feels, so all she's gonna say is "I love you". Simple but effective. |

Contrary to your beliefs, I actually have an education. I have 7 Standard Grades at levels 1 and 2. I have 4 Highers, with results for four more to come in August.
So for future reference, do not assume to know anything about me because of one or two groups that I like and a few comments I have passed in your direction. The fact that I choose to listen to McFly does not define me, as, in my CD holder at the the moment, I do have a McFly CD, but I also have The Streets, Oasis, Catatonia and Space, and am not the immature imbecile you percieve me to be.
Thank you and goodbye |

Wow, I wish I could write comments as intellectual and deep as yours...
Seriously, erection rhyming with election? What are you, eight? In fact, I'd have expected an eight year old to have written something better than that.

| Busted – Nerdy Lyrics

What it's basically about (for me, anyway), is this girl that they like, but she's popular and basically out of their league, and she thinks that whoever it is that's written it is gay, hence the lyrics:
"Just because I'm nerdy
And my friends are thirty
It doesn't mean that I swing that way"
And then they pluck up the courage to give the girl the poetry that's been written about her, only to find out that she's gay and just like the guy, and he's telling her to learn from his mistakes and just go for this girl.
That's my interpretation anyway. |

yeah, I guess because they are a pop band, and because they're known to have a younger fanbase, though there are a lot of older people that listeb to them, people feel they can put them down more easily.
Anyway, I love this song, it's great for just blasting out, and I think the lyrics are hilarious, but in a good way. There's no deep spiritual meaning to it or anything, it's just good fun |

my favourite lines are:
"So I'm on BBC2 now, telling Terry Wogan how I made it and
What I made is unclear now, but his deference is and his laughter is
My words and smile are so easy now
Yes, It's easy now
Yes, It's easy now"
They're about people saying you've made it when you're on Terry Wogan's show, but they don't really know what they're on it for. That's my interpretation anyway, and forgive my ill mind for stating the obvious |

I loved this song from the first time I saw it, especially the lines:

I can't believe that no one's commented on this song. It's one of my favourites. I think it's basically about a relationship that was just supposed to be for a couple of weeks, but it's got comfortable and now they don't want to leave each other because they don't like the change - "She goes round the corner she sees Harry Conway. She says to herself that she'll leave him on Monday" but there's a feeling that she won't, like she's said it over and over to herself again.
Anyway, that's my impression of it. |

I cried the first time I heard this song, it's so beautiful. Daniel says repeatedly he loves it if his songs touch people, and I can say that it's touched me, especially now as I recently broke up with my ex because she lived too far away, and I know she's not the right one for me, but it still hurts every time I think of her. |
