Yeah well maybe I just listen to emo too much so now everything seems emo to me,lol. But I totally qualify Thrice as an emo band! But they are like hard emo, I dont know. Their lyrics are so deep, and filled with such irony. I think this song is about asking God to guide you, and give you the ultimate test of faith. Being led either to God or against God, having your faith tested. I dont even know how to explain it. Lets just say I love the song, and their lyrics, and Im sure Im crazy in thinking they are emo,lol. |

It shows the yearning of loving someone who doesn't feel the same. And then trying to get yourself to stop loving that person. Like when he says "I could learn to hate just like you." I dont know... |

This one guy told me he thinks this song is about doing drugs, but to me it toally means something different. I totally think it is about finding the one person totally right for you. Finding your little needle in a hay stack of people,lol. I know it sounds dumb, but oh well. Thats what I think it means. |
