and i think its "golden ring" and not "cold and rain" right at the end of the spoken/screaming breakdown part....i might be wrong, but golden ring, like a halo or something along those lines, seems to make a bit more sense...any thoughts? |

as to the meaning of this song, i havent put enough serious thought into to post a solid guess....but the whole theme of the album seems to have a much more upbeat and lighter sound than sing the sorrow..if the whole rabbit and not being reincarnated thing does turn out to come into play in this album, then there must have been some kind of positive resolution in Davey's mind...when you hear the closing track for the album you'll see what i mean, and if you listen closely, when the last track fades out, it makes that little whirring/whizzing (terrible word i know, but i cant describe it any better) sound that you can hear in between all the tracks and it loops right back into the start of Prelude 12/21...so, it'll be interesting to see what ideas emerge after the album is released to everyone else who isnt a sneaky advance copy downloading whore |

i like this song, but the album as a whole feels like they tried to branch out a bit too much....it just doesnt flow very well...musically its all really well put together but it's too inconsistent to really listen to all the way through like the first one....still, a pretty solid album overall |

ive heard people say that Chris can't play as well since getting into the car accident...i mean his songs definitely are still awesome but ive noticed his solos are a lot tamer than they used to be...maybe this is just the direction he's moving in as a songwriter, and i mean the solos are still awesome but they just seem to be lacking something in this album and Modern Artillery and i cant quite put my finger on it...great song though |

but either you made these spelling mistakes yourself, or if you did indeed copy everything verbatim, then like i said in a different Alk post, the words in the booklet are not correct, because they were either not written by matt or dan or they were poorly translated by someone at the label
its definitely "spit" not "pit"
and "chokeable" not "chockable"

people say this album is overproduced and whatnot...but, people say a lot of things, such as "Watching Oprah has changed my life"...soo that just goes to show what some people say
my point being, this album is great
also, a lot of people get really angry about mistaken lyrics, but people need to keep in mind its even possible for liner notes to have mistakes, the artists dont necessarily always write them. Not saying that this is the case with any songs from this album, but its just something keep in mind. |

not too bash on the ataris, because they are great and i love them..but i dont think this is that great of a song...if you listen to a lot of their older music you will see that they recycle a LOT of lyrics...which isnt necessarily a completely bad thing, but it just kinda gives this song that "been there, done that" feeling already |

new album is decent, some really good songs but they tried to branch out in some directions that didnt work too well, some of the songs are a little weak, Jason Gleason is an amazing singer but i agree with fallen degenerate, How to Start a Fire doesnt top The Moon is Down....as much as you wanna call Chris an emo boy or a sell out or whatever, he was a better frontman for FSF, and if you wanna hear some good solid non emo music then check out Chris in Vacant Andys, thats good shit too |
