I think it's about how when he started to get famous people were kind of "pushing" fame on him and all the supposedly good stuff that comes with it (riches, girls, and nice "things" he used to dream about). It sounds like he was reluctant, but goes along with it, but he wonders if it's right for him. Then, at the end he realizes it isn't and what he once would've considered a "boring" life is exactly what he wants. |

I'm guessing it's about the struggle he was going through with the record company (or perhaps just other people telling him what direction to go with his career), them telling him what they want him to do, him trying to please them, then just saying "forget it, i'm gone" and leaving/doing things his own way. |

I always wondered if the "good vibration" line was kind of a reference to the girl he sings about in Miss Delaney, because he says how she "likes the Beach Boys more than radio metal" and "Good Vibrations" is a Beach Boys song. |

Good song... obviously about a guy that has a lot of one night stands and he wants something more meaningful... |

Yeah, she co-wrote this song, it's about her best friend (and I believe another good friend) back home that she was friends with before she got famous, and how everything is different now and they don't talk and things aren't the same as they used to be. |

This song is truely wonderful, I think it's just about not having regrets and "it's better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all". |

Yeah, I have always found the phone/home line hilarious as well. She really should've found somethign better to stick in there. The song is nice besides that! |
