I don't think it was written for the Spidey OST, they had a spot on there cause Chad Kreorger discovered the band and signed them to his 606 records, form which he got them a deal on Roadrunner, and the lead singer for Theory worked with Chad on Hero, you can see him in the video. |

The Song is not about drugs, in an interview with Godsmack Sulley,you know hes the short one, was asked if the song was about drugs and he said NO.

I have read through the arguments and the subject of substance comes up over and over again, but it is the wrong kind of substance that is being looked at. One side says there is nothing to the song and it is stupid and thus dismiss it. The other side says substance is not everything and it is asong to escape to, get away so substance is not needed.
Well I do agree in with the the fact that it coudl bea song to escape to, and something jsut to listen to and have a good time. Rock is not devoid of such songs, Louie Louie for example. That was song that didn't have a point, but it was fun. But unlike Louie Louie, Party Hard does not do the same thing for people it does not have the same effect. Louie Louie has been around for decades and is still song all around because it has soomething, it has staying power. while Party Hard may in the begining have the effects it does not last, it is a once or twice kinda song and then time to move on. It does not have the same staying power or inate ummff that songs like Louie Louie have. And that is the kind of substance that has been left out of the conversation thus far |
