You may be right, however you're missing my point. I didn't say that American bands are the times. I said that America is the times. There's alot of great foreign talent. But when they hit it big in America is when they really hit it big. That's the goal of most foreign bands--to hit the American market, the largest music industry in the world. THAT is what makes America "the times". |

Hey...I'm not one to knock Canada or anything, but I don't think we Americans need to "catch up with the times"...We Americans ARE the times. Canada has produced some great rock bands, but America invented rock bands. |

Dimitri, I think while your outlook is unique, it's not very accurate. Dave is known to be a supporter of creation. So I doubt this song has anything to do with evolution. |

Of course he's being anti-religious, and anti-christian. Nobody that's not would write words like this. I hate to burst the APC fan's bubbles, but there's no getting around it or talking yourself out of it. And it's not "just a story about Judith" because Judith was in the Old Testament, and there are several blasphemic references to Christ, whom anybody that has any intelligence knows, that Christ appears in the New Testament. So I don't buy the trash about it being a unique perspective of a bible story. Give me a break. APC and Tool have some issues they need to work out. Oh yeah, and their music sucks pretty bad too. |

This song is their best one. I saw them in concert. They opened up for Nickelback, and TOTALLY blew them out of the water. I was saying to myself, "Nickel-who?" Anyway, this song rocked and I met the guitar player and the lead singer. They were both really nice, and I caught 2 guitar picks from Default. So that was cool. |

Dan Damnitall, as I posted earlier (but it was somehow erased), heroin played no role in Hendrix's death. He spent the night at a girlfriend's house(Monika Danneman) and took 8 or 9 sleeping pills, called Vesperax--in combination with alcohol. He never woke up. Death by suffocation due to inhalation of vomit. Jimi dying of heroin-related causes is a common misconception. There were no heroin needle marks found anywhere on his body. Read up on your Hendrix bio a little more, man. But hey, this isn't a Hendrix page, so let's move on. |

Not to be crude or anything, PoPn152, but Hendrix died of suffocation due to inhalation of vomit. Not to take away from your point though...it's a tragic thing. |

Well, actually, on Storytellers Lenny said he wrote this song about Jesus Christ. Lenny is openly Christian, and it shows in alot of his songs. I think rock n' roll needs that. |
