bleed american went platinum, and its because of this song, emo bands don't go platinum, something is wrong. But i can say bleed american deserved it, but not this way, not like this, not by overplaying one freaking song until everyone bought it because it was targetted for high school girls. I still love bleed american, but i can't listen to the middle any more, and if you want JEW's best stuff, buy clarity, no, don't download it, fucking buy it. |

I thought this song was about how in the music industry they're making music with emotion and making music to make music, not to make money, but thats all that record companies want, they just want the money. The are ignoring the lyrical and musical content, the one thing on a cd that is priceless to the musicians. Its like how the music industry these days cheapen everyone's work because they're after profit. And the message is don't fall for it, just make music that you love and don't get focused on money, play small shows and be happy with what you're doing and don't get greedy. Money puts you in a world that seems perfect but is fake, like a snow globe, plastic shake up snow. Always believe in what you want, not what greed wants. Just a thought... |
