taking back sundays is weird because [to me] they are a really awesome band with some really bad songs and some excellent songs. i got that long player and song one is awesome, two is okay, three (this song) is my favorite, and five is decent, too, but the rest of it is very weak. and i think their lyrics and song titles are the same: some lyrics are really well penned and others just seem to be filling up space and trying to sound emo. |

yeh this song really is beautifully poetic and emo. the first 4 songs of this album just go together so well and i think this is a wonderful climax to that progression. of course the whole album is 10 deep and i love all the songs, but this little ditty about love and separation stands out. |

this is an okay song (my fave on her majesty), but i am still at a loss as to exactly how anyone could listen to her majesty after designing a nervous breakdown and not cry tears of disappointment. i know it is a real indie elitist thing to say "their old stuff was way better," but it is more true [in my opinion] for the anniversary than any other band i have ever heard... for real. |

this is beyond argument, the absolute best big tymers song to date. still fly and get your roll on receive honorable mentions, but in terms of beats, bass, music, and lyrics this song owns. "I just bought me a platinum football field, nigga." that line will always be how i identify the big tymers. |

this song is definitely catchy and yes... hot. it has better music than the cuts on "i got that work," but i don't think it is as funny or over-the-top lyrically. it is also the only really good song on the album, though i do like the idea of being "hood rich." |

yet another example of beautifully penned poetry that is rendered totally indecipherable by the merciless brutality of converge. and also like many other converge songs, it deals with the times when love and hate aren't so very different... at least that's it to me: an imminent separation or breakup and how it makes you feel about the other party, for better or for worse. |
