This song is not about the "Beautiful People" as some of ya'll said, this as nothing to do with how pretty someone is or isn't. This song is about Christians and the hypericy they call christanity. I grew up in a very relgious family, and this song makes alot of sence about how Christian's are too busy blaiming other people that they can't see whats wrong with them "...you can't see the forest through the trees" "...you can't smell your own shit on your knees". He is also refering to how churches are self serving, cuz' they serve an all powerful god but yet they need money to build a bigger steeple. As for his hatetred for Christians he dosen't he hates the fact that they call them selfs good people and they are no better then anyone else, and they are quick to blaim someone like him for the problems of this world...so Bryan the (not so) Great before you start salming him for hating Christains get your goddamn religion on the right track...he makes this obvious in "Dispoble Teens" I never hated the one true god, just the gods of the people... He has no problem whit god or christians, just the fact that they are a bunch of hyperctates that are as "bad" as he is "When you live with apes man, its hard to be clean" saying that lieing to them selfs they are just as dirty as sinners are |

I really think this song is about a pig(cop) and his digust for them, or even the system in general. In the lyrics my "black and blue...you left me here all alone" he was beat by a cop and left in the street, and the lurics "lost my shit because of you" he is talking about going crazy pretty much "loosing it", or what i really think it is he lost his "shit" as in drugs the the cop took it, and he is fed up and he is going to kill the cop...but bdm good point, but im sorry it sounds too much like he is talking to a person "....yes you"...like the cop was like "who me", but either way any song by NIN is fucking bad ass, but i really think he is talking bout' killing a cop, and thats bad ass "hey piggy".... |
