Tiger Army – Incoporeal Lyrics | 21 years ago |
This song is great. Probably one of my favourites from Tiger Army. I think this song is talking about how someone can't take it anymore and just wants to die. Maybe someone feeling left out. I dunno. |
Anti-Flag – Punk By The Book Lyrics | 21 years ago |
cheer_up_emo_kidx, I couldn't have said it better myself. I like both Rancid and Dead Kennedys... I wear my AFI shirt (It's black and people think I'm Goth 'cause I like black and wear it. Weird. Hehe.) and plaid pants, but I don't call myself punk. Whenever people ask me if I'm punk, I tell them "I dunno. Call me whatever the heck you want." I dress that way because I want to. I listen to punk because I like it. Now, children, lets all just be ourselves. Jeez. I sound like one of those instructors from a shrink... xP But...I personally like to call myself, not a punk, but a mountain hermit, baby! Woo!! ...please, no flames... XDD |
Anti-Flag – Stars And Stripes Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Um, NEVERSUMMER, this is "America", right? We're just stating our opinions here! What's that called? Freedom of speech. We're just using our rights, man. I love using that one. This one kid at school got pissed at me and told me not to talk smack about George Bush and I used that excuse. That shut him up. Haha. Well, this is another great song from Anti-Flag! Sk8master, I thought of that before as well! Seeing Anti-Flag and Bill O'Reilly arguing about the government would be awesome! I would love to see that O'Reilly guy shut up for once. That guy pisses me off. |
Anti-Flag – Red White And Brainwashed Lyrics | 21 years ago |
I choose all of the above! Rock on, people! I have an Anti-Flag patch on my bag and this REALLY patriotic guy saw it. We got into a few fights before 'cause he and his friends kept on writing "Nuke Iraq!" on folder paper and holding it up. I just scoffed, but I got really annoyed and just started ranting about how George Bush was the real terrorist. Anyway, when he saw the patch, he got this kid who was sitting next to me to ask me something. He asked if I was antiAmerican because I had a patch that read Anti-Flag. I told him it was a freaking band. So little people here know about Anti-Flag... Argh. Jeez. Woops. Sorry about that story. No flames please. I don't like flames. XDD Anyway, yeah. A lot of people are really ignorant these days. While everyone were bringing flags and crap to school, I wanted to burn one. Even before 9/11, there were a lot of patriotism. It's just that 9/11 made everyone a lot more patriotic. They don't even care about how the crap that's going on in our "great" country and don't even pay attention to the facts. That annoys me as well. |
Anti-Flag – Outbreak Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Hardcore_Slacker, I agree. The US does kill as much as the "terrorists". Actually, we kill A LOT more than they do. Ah, well. Kills as much as they do, kill more... We still kill. I guess it doesn't make much of a difference, right? :) Yeah, it's the US who has the weapons of mass destruction. The war is stupid. The score with Bush's father is so damn obvious, getting oil is obvious, gaining more power and authority is obvious. Dubya, you dumbshît... Instead of having a war and dragging the whole country in the conflict, I think that the two feuding leaders should just arm wrestle. Haha. Wouldn't that be a lot cooler? :P |
Anti-Flag – Davey Destroyed The Punk Scene Lyrics | 21 years ago |
This song is great! I'm just happy that they're not talking about Davey Havok of AFI. Anti-Flag hating on AFI would suck 'cause they're two of my favourite bands (well, this generation). But Anti-Flag did include AFI in their thank yous and on their links page of their site. They even said that this song isn't about Davey Havok (they wrote it before they met him!) on their gossip page. So, whew. :P Posers would be the Blink 182, Avril Lavigne, etc. fans who go around calling other people posers and go around with a T-shirt that reads punk telling anyone they meet that they're punk. Actually, the bands don't matter. It's just how they act. But this whole thing is becoming a trend and stuff. The people who think they're punk 'cause they're following trends...they're the posers. I try not to think of this "who's a poser, who's Goth, who's punk" crap too much, though. Though, a lot of people think that Goths are just kids who have black hair, dye it either purple or red, and wear black... I'll shut up now. This song is great. |
Anti-Flag – 911 For Peace Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Since some people bitch about how people post stuff about how much they love the song and don't add what they think its about, I'll do just that... It's obvious. The world just needs peace, love, and unity! Anyway, I've been reading some comments. Anti-Flag are not anarchists. What's punk and what's not... Well, I know what ISN'T punk!! Sum 41 and Good Charlotte and Avril Lavigne. *shudders* This song is awesome. I love the lyrics and the excerpt from Dr. King's speech, which is just as awesome as the song. |
Anti-Flag – Die For The Government Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Oh, yeah. I was just reading some of the comments here and decided to post something up as well... (BTW, I don't dislike our government because of Anti-Flag, I got like this all on my own. Hehe.) Anyway. I'll start with the war on Iraq. We invaded Iraq 'cause the government THOUGHT they had weapons of fucking mass destruction (I hear those words so much on the news, I swear.), right? After we invaded them, we still didn't find the weapons. Oh, yeah. If Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, why didn't they use it against us when we had a surprise assault on them? Hmm? Another reason the US attacked Iraq was Saddam Hussein, "he's a cruel dictactor", they said. Sure, I agree that he's fucked up. He tortured his own people-- but wait. Doesn't China do that as well? Now...why did we attack IRAQ when China does the same damn thing? China's a good economic competitor, where millions of people work for slave wages in sweatshops to make U.S. corporations richer. That's why, dammit. Basically, the US government thinks that if a country lets its people be exploited for American corporate gain, it's a good country even if they torture their own people like Iraq. At least that's what I'm guessing. Hussein came to power through a military coup, so he's not really an illegitimate leader. General Pervez Musharraf also came to power through a military coup, but we don't attack Pakistan because they're our FRIENDS. Why is Pakistan our friend when their leader is also illegitimate? They helped the US attack Afghanistan. Everyone knows that we attacked Afghanistan because of September 11th. The hijackers were trained by the Taliban who chopped off people's heads and hands. The thing is, the Bush administration gave the Taliban 43 million dollars back in '01 because they did a spiffy job fighting drugs. They stopped people from growing opium poppies. How? They were going to cut off their hands and heads. So, the US government is saying that it's okay for people to cut off people's heads and hands for growing flowers, but it isn't alright when they do it for some other reason. Anyway, back to Afghanistan. Osama bin Laden, a Saudi, was also another reason we attacked Afghanistan. Why Afghanistan and not Saudi Arabia? They're our friends. It's kinda weird, though. I seem to recall that bin Laden was our friend back in the 1980's 'cause the government helped Afghanistan fight against the Soviets, who are now Russians. You would think that Russia's our friend as well now, right? Well, not really. The government is pissed at Russia, France, Germany, and any other country who didn't approve of them attacking Iraq. Those countries were wrong, so we renamed French fries and French toast to Freedom fries and Freedom toast. (What's next, Bavery bacon replacing Canadian bacon?) We rename food when we're mad at our friends. When a country disagrees with us, we attack 'em if they're enemies. Iraq was also our "friend" in the 1980's temporarily. Why? They helped us attack Iran, who was our enemy. So what the government is saying is, anyone who fights against our enemies become our friends. And anyone who fights against our friends become our enemies, right? Not really. Well, sometimes. The US also sells weapons to both sides, which means more money for us! So, the government is saying that war is good for the economy, which also means that warfare is great for America. Since God (I'm a strong Christian, but I can't stand it when those politicians bring in religion into the conflict. Bullshit.) is on America's side (as those damn politicians always say) anyone who opposes war is an evil, antiAmerican Communist. My question is, how does Dubya know that this is what God wants? Does God personally speak to Wussy Bushy alone and tells him what to do? So basically, we attacked Iraq because George W. Bush hears voices in his head. What a great president we have. |
Anti-Flag – Die For The Government Lyrics | 21 years ago |
I think the meaning of the song is pretty clear: dying for your government is shit! I totally agree. I found out about Anti-Flag on the net about a year ago and I thought they were pretty cool. I heard some MP3's and read lyrics and was blown away 'cause they totally agreed with my outrage towards the government! This song is awesome! Too bad I haven't been to any shows 'cause none of the good punk bands come here... Only Sum 41 and crap. Anti-Flag rocks! |
AFI – Narrative of Soul Against Soul Lyrics | 21 years ago |
This song is great! One of my favourite AFI songs. This probably has to do with suicide. I dunno, someone who envies the dead and just wants to die and leave this world. I'm guessing the person realized that suicide wasn't the answer. "No fear of death but with fear of life" I think that line explains how the person is feeling; I hate this place, I want to die and leave already. What's the point? "Your weakness kills everyone. So live." I'm guessing that by "your weakness kills everyone", Davey's trying to say that suicide is the most selfish thing a person can do because all the people who care about someone will have to deal with the tragic death of that loved one...or something. |
AFI – Dancing Through Sunday Lyrics | 21 years ago |
Sing the Sorrow is a good album, but I still say that Black Sails and their older stuff was a lot better. Jade's solo was awesome! It totally fit in this song. Anyway. I'm not sure what the meaning of the song is. Davey's lyrics are just too elaborate to decipher. This obviously has to be talking about death, though. That's all I can say. |
Kelly Clarkson – A Moment Like This Lyrics | 21 years ago |
This song is great!! Kelly has a really, really nice voice. I knew she was going to win. Congratulations to Kelly!!!!! |
Unknown Nj – Got Rice 2 Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I like the first part better. :P |
Apocalyptica – Hope Vol. 2 (Feat. Matthias Sayer) Lyrics | 22 years ago |
...The catwalk line kinda reminds me of a supermodel and "she flaunts her style" line... Anyway, this is a great song!!!! |
Azn Pride – Got Rice Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I think this song is hilarious! This song is meant to be a joke, so calm down. Plus, the dude wrote it to only racists. It's not to all white people. |
Metallica – Fade To Black Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I know, but never put my opinion in before. :P |
Metallica – Trapped Under Ice Lyrics | 22 years ago |
This is about drowning in a frozen lake. |
Metallica – Fight Fire With Fire Lyrics | 22 years ago |
The album "Ride the Lightning" explores death and dying from different point of views. This one is about nuclear war. |
Metallica – Ride The Lightning Lyrics | 22 years ago |
This is about the electric chair execution and how it's wrong. After all, "who made you God to say 'I'll take your life from you!'?". |
Metallica – Fade To Black Lyrics | 22 years ago |
"Fade to Black" is about suicide, how life can suck. |
Metallica – Enter Sandman Lyrics | 22 years ago |
Dang. So much hatred here. I've never heard anything from SlipKnot before, so I can't say anything. I just know that Metallica is one of the greatest heavy metal bands of all time. I think their old stuff is better than what they produce now, though. I think this song is about entering the core of fear. Or maybe from a child's perspective and going through the childish fears like sandman, the dark, etc. Maybe it's about nightmares and dreams. I dunno. It's kinda unclear... |
Blink-182 – All the Small Things Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I'm not a blink fan, but I like this song. ^_^ I think this song means to enjoy and treasure all the things in life, small or big. |
Linkin Park – Morning After Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I just downloaded this song.... I'm not sure who was talking (I believe it was Chester), he said that he wrote this song hoping to become a star one day. |
Linkin Park – Step Up Lyrics | 22 years ago |
This song tells the difference between true and inner talent and stupid rhymes that are just noise. This is, like, dedicated to all wannabes who don't have skill. Maybe Mike is saying that you have to write your own stuff and you're supposed to be able to rhyme along with it to be a real pioneer. Mike is also telling the dreamers to study this skill hard and when they're ready, they should step up to the mic and show the world their talent. |
Linkin Park – Runaway Lyrics | 22 years ago |
To me, this is about a world of tension and hate and someone just wants to get away from the hell it holds because the insanity gets worse day by day. |
Linkin Park – Points of Authority Lyrics | 22 years ago |
Dammit! I submitted something and it didn't come out!! Jeez! Sorry 'bout that. Anywho, I think this is about a win/lose situation like a competition. This is about having total confidence in yourself and with that, you're gonna win and your challenger is gonna lose. |
Linkin Park – Part Of Me Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I'm guessing that this one is about having two sides of youself. Maybe the one with all the guilt and hate won't go away. |
Linkin Park – My December Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I love this song!! Um, I believe that this song is about past regrets in life and losses in life. Maybe they're telling you to move on 'cause there's nothing you can do. |
The X-ecutioners – It's Going Down Lyrics | 22 years ago |
This song is great! I think this is one of my favorites from LP. w0rd! I agree with A2K, too! Cheers! :) |
Linkin Park – In The End Lyrics | 22 years ago |
Wow. A lot of comments here! :) I really dunno what the meaning of the song is. I'm guessing that this is about a relationship that went downhill and it seems like it was impossible to fix it. I'm probably wrong 'cause I really don't get this song, but I really like it! ;) |
Linkin Park – High Voltage Lyrics | 22 years ago |
w0rd!!!!! I agree with LPChillin2841! |
Linkin Park – Forgotten Lyrics | 22 years ago |
To xfesty, Keep those friggin' comments to yourself! You must be insane! Linkin Park ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, I dunno what this song means. I'm out of guesses. o_O Well, I'll say this. THIS SONG (and the rest of the songs by Linkin Park) IS GREAT! |
Linkin Park – Cure for the Itch Lyrics | 22 years ago |
Great work to fellow Korean, Joe Hahn! :P I think this song means, Joe Hahn from Linkin Park is a great DJ and you can learn from him. LoL! j/k |
Linkin Park – Crawling Lyrics | 22 years ago |
Well, that's weird... I submitted something and it never came out... I saw the music video before and I'll try to relate to it... This sounds like someone who is confused and lonely. All he/she feels it pain and it feels like torture. |
Linkin Park – By Myself Lyrics | 22 years ago |
Hehe. Just like what the song says, it's about being by yourself; totally isolated and solitary and there's no one you can trust, but yourself. |
Linkin Park – And One Lyrics | 22 years ago |
To Tracy, Sadly, this album didn't come out yet. I wish it were out now.... *sighs* Maybe this song is about a man who loved a woman. The woman would treat him like dirt and they just kept their distance from each other. Suddenly, the woman began to love him back, but it was too late. *shrugs* |
Linkin Park – Plc.4 Mie Haed Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I have this album!! It rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *ahem* NEwayz.... To me, this song is about a person who USED to be friends with a hypocrite. This former friend would always ask for stuff and wouldn't give anything back. (I used to have a friend like that. Total b****.) |
Linkin Park – Carousel Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I downloaded this song on KaZaA! It rocks! (Actually, I think all of LP's songs rocks!!) I think this is about a man and a woman's life, which is terrible. Nothing goes their way and they just can't seem to stand life. |
Papa Roach – Last Resort Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I believe that this song means... life sucks. The person doesn't want to live anymore 'cause it's hell for him/her. |
AFI – The Days Of The Phoenix Lyrics | 22 years ago |
(I'm listening to it right now on winamp! Keke.) Anyway... I think this song is about a broken heart and he doesn't want to think about it. Maybe he just wants to believe that it never happened. ex. "I fell into yesterday", "I fell into fantasy". |
Saliva – Lackluster Lyrics | 22 years ago |
I think this song is about someone tormenting another with words and how that someone felt about being tormented. Just a guess. ^-^ |
Saliva – Click Click Boom Lyrics | 22 years ago |
It's my favorite song from Saliva! The song? Hmmm. He was probably in his room with his stereo blazing. He probably had a pad, pen, and a big imagination and began to jot down some lyrics. I also think that the "click, click" is from the pen and the boom is the result. (Great one there, erl81!) |
