i love Bayside! this was like the first song i heard by them and i loved every second of it, i even went on to call them the greatest pop punk band i ever heard and i still do, i mean they are so catchy it should be illegal!
Warning: this is the song by the (Canadian) Bayside, not the (NY) Bayside who every confuses them with. With that said the canadian Bayside is the better of the two, but unfortunately they broke up a while back; most of the members formed another band called Klesk. you should check them out. |

i don't know about the whole religious deal but it may very well be, but most of the argument is the bloody hands and stuff like the stigmata or something anyway i always took it like this:
where he's talking about bloody hands; from the barb wire obviously, anyway he asks them to fix his ruined hands, with his hands he can keep writing lyrics and playing guitar and he can keep doing that stuff, hence it's a gift that keeps on giving.
