This song is awesome. I saw Saves the Day live and they played this awesome, too. I think its obvious what this song means... but I also think it has a deeper meaning of hiding who you really are... then when that special someone gets just a hint of what you really are and they try to dig deeper and you're embarassed and want to hide it away since you don't know who you really are. Sorry for such a long sentence. Do I make sense to anyone? |

This is my favorite song off "Rock Steady". The video is awesome, too. But anyway, I think this song is pretty self-explanitory. The guy has done some shady things and everytime Gwen thinks she might break up with him, he does something sweet and she realizes he's actually "really lovely underneath it all". |

everyone needs to stop complaining about this song and new no doubt. everyone -- YOU'RE NOT IN THE FREAKING BAND! its not you to say 'oh they should go back to ska'. ITS NOT YOUR BAND! WANT A SKA BAND? MAKE YOUR OWN! and yes, i have been a huge nxd fan for about 6 years and i do LOVE their other albums more than 'rock steady' but still stop complaining about the frikkin' STYLE of the music. let go. if you want to listen to ska, go buy s/t no doubt or the bsc. jeez! |

ooh man i love this song. the line "its always you in my big dreams" reminds me of one person i know, while the lines "i had these dreams that i learned to play guitar, maybe cross the country , become a rock star. and there was hope in me that i could take you there, but dammit you're so young. well i don't think i care, and if i hurt you, then i'm sorry, please don't think that this was easy" reminds me of someone completely different. i guess i'm trying to say that this song has many different meanings to me. one about someone new, and one about something i'd like to put in the past. anyway, that's it for now. |
