A lot of journalists compared Avril to Alanis when she first came out. This song is the only place where I see a resemblance in her vocals. She does sound a bit like Alanis here. A little in the end of I'm With You sounds a bit like Alanis also. As for the song, this is my favorite song on Let Go, besides Unwanted. I really think her voice works perfectly with the 2 rock songs on the record. I hope her next album will be more like this. |

Couple things wrong with the lyrics. "I have to wash my hair" should be "Haven't washed my hair". "Don't mean you'll lose it" should be "Don't mean you're losing". As for the meaning of the song is in the lines "To be lost before you are found don't mean you're losing". I really like those lyrics and I think they're really true. I think its about learning and making mistakes, and those help you with what's to come in the future. Those mistakes make you who you are and help you in your life. If that made any sense (I'm really bad at explaining). BTW, this is on the "Sweet Home Alabama" soundtrack. Bad movie, good song. |

"My arms are hurting so bad from being so empty" - I love that line. I think it describes perfectly how so many people feel. I hated O-Town because of how they got their start (auditioning nsync wannabes on a tv show? now that's pathetic) But I think they really redeemed themselves on their 2nd album. Taking creative control has worked out good for them, because this is a great song. |

OK, to everyone who's saying rap is horrible, but I like these guys: This song isn't even rap. You shouldn't just say you hate an entire genre, cause not everyone in rap is all the same. Mainstream shit, yes, and mainstream rap has become absolutely horrible. Go back to the pioneers of hip hop and the more underground musicians of right now and you'll see what's it really about. I just think its unfair to artists when you put every artist in a genre in a category. |

For all yall who say he's a Micheal wannabe or a flash in the pan...Rolling Stone gave this CD 4 stars. Rolling Stone Magazine gave a Justin Timberlake CD 4 stars. RS has gone to the wayside in their reviews lately, but for them to even put 4 stars next to the name Justin Timberlake means it must be pretty damn good. It's Rolling Stone you're talking about here. You should honestly give him a chance. Yall need to learn more bout what you're talking about and actually give the artist a chance before you speak. He's a lot more talented than you give him credit for. |

Damn...Go on wit yo bad self girl. I think what hip-hop has become is definitely not what it should be. This song describes perfectly everything that went wrong with the entire genre. There are obviously good artists out there, but all the public wants to consume is the same carbon copy shit. Her entire album is amazing and very socially conscious. I'm glad she's finally come over the pond to us here in the US. |

I still don't know understand what the point is of making stupid ass remarks about a song you don't like...Don't look up the lyrics if you know you don't like the song. If you don't like the lyrics, at least critique in an intelligent way, like you know what you're talking about, or else you just look stupid. I'm really not sure what this song means to me...Every time I listen, I try to figure it out. I think I agree with beautiful on this one though. I heard someone else say that they think its about not having sex with someone because you're "not ready" like she says...I think that's what this song is about, but it wouldn't just have to be about sex. It could be about becoming more intimate in any stage of a relationship you're in. Or it could mean something completely different...I'm not really sure. |

I totally agree Sunny. In my opinion, this is one of the best songs they've ever done...Of course AJ wrote it :) Hehe, just makin sure yall know my boy wrote it! I think they all sound amazing on this song. The lyrics are wrong though: It's "Time passes by/The only tears I cry/Are filled with disillusion and fears I have inside" That's my favorite part and dammit, the words were wrong! LOL, nah, its all good...This song kicks ass! |
