Far – Waiting For Sunday Lyrics 18 years ago
Actually, scratch all that. Paranoid people are comforted by the thought of sanctuary on a particular day of week and begin to live in anticipation of said day.

Great song, though.

Far – Waiting For Sunday Lyrics 18 years ago
OR, Could this song realllllllly be commentary on how the average American displaces blame for all societies woes, is paranoid of diversity in general, is saved by belief internally but expects worldly salvation and believes attending church is the solution to it all instead of actual action?

[anticipating responses] Of course not EVERY church-going person is like this, but perhaps too many? Enough to inspire a song?

Stabbing Westward – I Remember Lyrics 22 years ago
did this record sound more like a smashing pumpkins record than a stabbing westward record to anyone?

Jimmy Eat World – Ramina Lyrics 22 years ago
The riff for this sounds completely different than goodbye sky harbor...

Out of all of the Incubus Demo's this is probably the best one too.

Cold – Ugly Lyrics 23 years ago
"all the world loves things of beauty and intrigue
these two things i've never had one"

Great Line. Very True Indeed.

Ben Kweller – Wasted & Ready Lyrics 23 years ago
This is the worst attempt at songwriting i've seen in quite a while. I can't beleive some of you compare this to weezer. I'm sorry, "spaghetti" is the lamest ryhme for ready ever used in a song. What's even more disturbing is the fact that this song will probably go on to be extremely popular, and played every 10 seconds on radio stations worldwide. I hope this song is a joke, and ven then, i'd have to question BK's sense of humor.

Refused – New Noise Lyrics 23 years ago
Yeah, I'm not a punk or a hardcore fan, but there was something more too refused. They dared to be different. (using stand up basses, drum machine's, synthesizers, great samples = such as the crowd during the end of this song) Originality is a trait abandoned popular music a while ago. Now it's only mindless drivel that plagues radiowaves worldwide. RIP refused.

Chevelle – Prove To You Lyrics 23 years ago
Yes, this song is incredibly powerful live. (as vache and i can attest too) WE got to meet them and Fool, they're the illest. Incredibly nice, humble guys. I wish them great luck with "wonder what's next" when it hits store shelves.

Chevelle – Dos Lyrics 23 years ago
I always thought this song was about a gig chevelle had that everyone left during the set. (You two, you're what's left, I don't take requests/But for you two, come this far,
I might have something) and them talking to the club owner. (Now these two, treat them well Upon themselves, showed up again Now you sir, Give up the gig You haven't been repaid) but, whatever this song roxxxxx.

Well, lyrics aside. Fool, Mike is the illest. He can solo circles around any other moder rock guitar player.

Incubus – Damnation? Lyrics 23 years ago
Well, it was big when in the glory days of napster, i could guarantee it would have been on audiogalaxy, if it wasn't SHUT DOWN. Kazaa perhaps? "Damnation" is cool, "Pillow your Eyes" as well. Not as fond of "Bathe in My Snot." or "Miss Bliss."

Bad Religion – American Jesus Lyrics 23 years ago
Fact: Greg Graffin is a very intelligent and wise man and a great frontman, also Fact: The US used religion to justify actions, just like anyone whose religious. FACT: I'm not patriotic at all, and i'm agnostic, but too many americans take what they have for granted. There IS alot wrong with the united states, corruption, cover ups, big business greed. But many of you forget that we are not having bombs dropped on us, followed by boxes of food, like some other parts of the world. (often time for RELIGIOUS reasons.) I consider myself quite liberal, i don't agree with christian conservatives, I don't beleive people are inherently evil. I'm not saying wave a american flag around and say the "pledge of alliegence." But I am saying that we take WAY too much for granted. So, think about what you have that's good, and think of ways to help change what you don't.

Thursday – Where The Circle Ends Lyrics 23 years ago
Blah, who gives a shit if they are trendy? I highly doubt they will get that trendy, because the majority of the public are too preoccupied with spoonfed clear channel radio bullshit/ too dumb to care. Even if, Geoff is a awesome songwriter, summed up in this line:

And so often we don't struggle to improve conditions
We struggle for the right to say "we improve conditions"

so very very true.

Jimmy Eat World – Goodbye Sky Harbor Lyrics 23 years ago
Great song, superlative to many of JEW's other (great) songs. Live Version is even better in my opinion, much more raw. Studio version is still great to listen to on a long drive, sunset, and probably would sound ok while killing a guy with a hammer. That's how good it is.

U2 – Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me Lyrics 23 years ago
Lyrically, it's pretty good. Musically, it's even better. I enjoy this song, without having to enjoy everything U2 does.

Blah, such laziness. Way to copy and paste this from the Duran Duran page. Only about half of what's above is in the Jimmy Eat World version. TAKE SOME PRIDE IN YOUR WORK. Nonetheless, this song is excellent.

Radiohead – Everything in Its Right Place Lyrics 23 years ago
Excellent song. Not sure what the significance of "sucking on a lemon" is, but then again, Thom Yorke can be in his right place, but he will never be in his right mind. Radiohead rocks, word...

Papa Roach – She Loves Me Not Lyrics 23 years ago
Nothing beats bad rapping sandwiched between a chorus screaming "life's not fair." I guess Papa Roach will have to fall back on there (nonexistant) musical talent.

This song is a demo. Just like "Miss Bliss" and "Pillow your Eyes." "Pillow Your Eyes" was on there "Closet Cultivation Demo" along with "Bathe in my Snot" and "Speak Free."
