| Zakk Wylde – Between Heaven and Hell Lyrics

I'd say it's just a song about life and its confusion and uncertainty. Dying to live/living to die, singing a song that can't be sung, having to end what hasn't yet begun.... all ironic scenarios. Life isn't straight forward and sometimes you're just stuck "somewhere between heaven and hell". |

It seems that everyone has forgotten that there are three other members of the band BESIDES Maynard. Yes this song has power and meaning despite the fact that it has only 4 or 5 lyrics, but that shows that this song is made even more remarkable by the work of the OTHER MEMBERS OF THE BAND. Maynard did not create this whole song by himself, so to clarify hobitt's statement of where Maynard gets it from, he gets it from Danny Carey Justin Chancellor and Adam Jones. |

Wow Aragorn, your pretty dumb huh? Rappo was intelligently making clear the connection of the nursery rhyme "Row Row Row Your Boat" to the line "A child's rhyme stuck in my head, it said life is but a dream" before you take shots at people, think of what you're saying. |

ok... Tool were big into Bill Hicks and to the best of my knowledge, I believe they were friends with him. Hicks was a big acid/shroom user, and in many of his speeches he talked about his Third Eye which you get from these drugs. The Third Eye gives you a whole new outlook on things, or so I've heard. The Daoism and other Third Eye references may be correct, but I am pretty sure on this one. |

This song is called Me because it is about him being self centered. He's using his dysfunctional family to get the point across. If you look, the words me, my or I are in every line. |

BY "question authority" i dont think that it means ask them questions for information, but ask them why they are doing what they are doing. Thinking for yourself by not letting them speak for you, question the way that the authorities go about doing their business |

At about 7:51 in the studio version of the song, there is some weird sound or someone says something. Its right before Maynard says "shrouding all the ground around me" Does anyone know what it is? |

It is really fucking sad that this song has 131 posts and some of Creed's best songs, which this is not, have no more than 10 posts. Creed's best songs cant even be found on their new album, where they've transformed themselves into a pop sensation. No bass player = doom. When they played rock, they kicked ass, but its not that way anymore, not that it should be, but the music was better then. |

| Beck – Ramshackle Lyrics

Such a great song. Its so different from Beck's usuals. if you could say he has any usuals, but a folk song is definitely different. I find it hard to believe noone's commented on it, even if theres not much behind it to describe, which I guess is what the general idea of SongMeanings is supposed to be, but I see it as a 24 hour music chat room where people share opinions. I will be really surprised if anyone EVER reads this.
