I like the stuff with the Napalm with the fighter. I agree with your opinions about the whole evolution stuff, but one interisting fackt from the video is still in my thoughts. At the end of the video, the destroyed earth is becoming for a short time a cell. Like in the beginning. Perhaps is just the beginning of another evolution process. Or what do they wanna say? That you can't kill all live? I'm a little bit confused.
But all in all, great song and great band! |

I think its about an animal that is caught and after that eaten by humans ("Cutting boards and hanging hooks, bloddy knives, cooking books") I think it's the way of the animal form the pray in the woods to the meal on the table. I also would say that this animal is still allive ("So you scream, whine and yell") But i doesn't know about animals that are hunted and eaten alive..... |

i think somehow this is about a relationship. And one of the persons in this relationship lives in dependence to the other (i know. No good english.) I think it's about a youn man who is in sexual dependence to an other person (for example "I'm so young) and then "I would beg" and so on. |

I think whith the explanation that we're annimals, you can see, that we're a mixture of ape and predator. But this combination wont't work, so we destruct the world and ourselves. But at the end of the video, you can see the world, who looks like at the beginning of her existense, turn for a second into a cell, and i think that the writer wantet to say, that everything will start again. |

I think that this song is, as allready said, about good luck and the change of it because of others and your blindness.
In the first part, the person is lucky, he lifes in dangerous, but he has fun (crash cours) He doesn't see the thinks that are coming (pay no mind to the distant thunder) The second part is about the life, he sais that the life this way is worth to live.
Thr refrain is the opposite to this.
When you say, that there's a light at the end of a tunnel, you mean that it's getting better, that the dark times are ending. But the light that he sees isn't a good light, it's the light of a freight train that is comming, he will be killed.
In the 2nd verse, he is still lucky, but you allready see that this will end, because others don't like that |

I think that you can see this as a song about depression and about outsider. At the beginning he sais "hey you, see me, pictures crazy" i think that means, that the person who sees the outsider think that he is crazy or so. "all the world I've seen before me passing by" could mean that the whole life, for example going to partys or so is going by, he can't go to partys or so, and he can't do anything. "I've got nothing to gain, to lose" means that he isn't anymore interestet in his life or the value of his life an that it can't be better or worser.
The refrain means that other people didn't care what he feels and that at a certain time he isn't also interestet any more. "Hey you, are me, not so pretty" could be a scene at a mirror when he looks at his body and thinks that he isn't pretty. Or he looks at his life and thinks that.
"Silent my voice, i've got no choice" is a symtom for outsiders. The doesn't speak very loud and they're used to it or he is drowned out by the others.
the things at the end of the 2'nd refrain could mean that he's stopping to hear to his environment and only lives with hisself in his little world. The end of the third refrain are typical indicators for depression. When you have them, you don't sleep very well, you eat less and you doesn't really care about the "others". In worse cases, you turn into a dump machine, and you "don't life anymore" As allready said, this is my opinion or my version if the song. I like SOAD beause every song has it's own meaning for yourself. |

i think this song plays during a reanimation. There are the sights of the dochtor (or so) and the person who is dying. I also think that the dying person wants to life, althought he may made suicide or so. But now, he want to life.
