Saves the Day – A Drag In D Flat Lyrics 23 years ago
jimmysavedmyday rules...and i completly agree w/ everything he/she said. however, i think i may be the only one here that notices that people aren't talking about the music anymore they are talking about labelling, selling out and catagorizing music in to specific genres. if you look at all my comments i am constantly saying how people need to stop being so concerned with such things. i think we all would agree that whether a band is "punk", "a sellout", "pop/too MTV" "emo" etc. etc. is a controversial issue with all bands that have any of the formentioned flavors. IT DOESN'T MATTER. if you people are merely listening to music because it is catagorized in to a specific genre you don't appreciate music for what it is, you appreciate it because it falls under a certain catagory which often comes with a stereotype. that is SO stupid. i don't understand why everyone can't just stop it already with usless discussion as i've been reading. yet i also applaud those of you who stand up for your opinions, including *xjkx* especially when he/she feels the need to insult me. because of my user name which if you must know stems from a nickname my mum used to call me when i was a child. remember that show "punky brewster"...well that is where the nickname came from, and eventually is was abbreviated (sp) to "punk" and this started looong before i even listened to my own choice of music. and bubble gum is just something that i like. that was ridiculous that i just had to explain that...but it is also ridiculous that you would make a comment like that when it had absolutly nothing to do with anything. actually i just realized from you're profile your age so you may not remember punky brewster...anyhow thats my 2 cents

selling out is what you do to get your music heard... it's alot easier to get your music out there when you have a record label backing you up. and how can you blame a band for wanting to get their music out...or even trying something new for that matter. a good musician is versitile. so all you people need to STOP LABELING

everybody...stop labeling!!! the labeling of music and then bashing it because it's a particular genre is ridiculous...if you won't listen to something because it's labeled in the a diffrent catagory from music you normally listen to, you need to get a life. stop worring about labeling and just sit back and enjoy the music.

i completly agree with everything you siad! people are so caught up in the labeling of things it takes away from everything else. the problem is the punk scene is labeled a a bunch of kids who don't care what people think about them (among other things). well what do these label concerned "punkers" think being concerned about labels says about them....they are too concerned with what other people will think if they like any type of music that is the least bit popular. people who truely love music are not concerned with labels...if they like a song...they like it, not because it's placed in a particular genre.
