Ahhh 'tastes like it should'.
I was just checking the lyrics because I was hearing 'tastes like shit' but I didn't think that could be right. :\ bleak. |

| Grade – Seamless Lyrics

I love this song, seeing Grade 3 years ago was one of the best gigs I've ever been to. I think this song doesn't necessarily incinuate that the girl was easy, it sounds to me more like exes getting sexy! 'I wish this was seamless, that there was no pain' showing how despite their attempts to just have this as a physical hook-up, all the feelings get dredged up. He recognises that it's self-destructive, but the 'breath on my neck' bit shows how he easily gets carried away and falls into old habits. The 'I still remember' at the end shows how he feels afterwards, reflecting upon their past relationship.
I like the acoustic a lot more, save the screams for triumph tragedy :) |

| John Vanderslice – My Old Flame Lyrics

This song is absolutely beautiful. I don't know what his intentions lyrically were, but I this song reminds me of my parents after they divorced. Both are happier in their present situations, but i've seen them both also get choked up on occasions when we've been talking about the past. I think that the lyrics slightly incinuate that although the wife and husband have moved onto better situations, they both undeniably can't forget their past together and the 'old flame' will always remain. |

I absolutely adore the riffage in this song, the guitar sounds so haunting.
My favourite Burning Airlines song, although I prefer Mission: Control as an album. |

I like this song, my sister and I were going through a tough time at home, and I remember talking when this song was on. Memories make the best songs. |

| Placebo – The Crawl Lyrics

I love this song, it's a perfect end to such an amazingly good album.
My favourite line in the song is 'Your smile would make me sneeze when we were siamese'. Although I'm not sure whether I've put the right meaning to it, my interpretation is that when he was with the person he loved before they left ('...when we were siamese'), their smile was like a ray of sun ('Your smile would make me sneeze'). Because the sun makes you sneeze, right?
Anyway, good song. No matter how my music tastes change, I always have a soft spot and a lot of respect for Placebo. |

knifextoxeyes - it's 'screamo' (apparently) but I think it's impossible to not <3 'Venus and Bacchus' by Saetia, 'Love is the fall of every man' by Shai Hulud and 'Cherry Kiss' by From Autumn to Ashes |

This band are sex. Seriously, am I the only person that seems to find underlying sexual metaphors in the way they play and structure their music? Ambiguous words like 'throbbing', 'swelling' and 'pulsating' come to mind, you move with this incredible energy that bonds the crowd, and you just get lost in the rhythm of it all.
And oh baby, those breaks.....
