a lot of people have dissedthis album but you must remember Jeff prefered it to Grace, he thought of himself as a ROCK singer and his favourite band was Led Zeppelin. This is my favourite song off this album, it's fun and if you've seen the video of him playing "kick out the jams" you'll know what i mean. |

I can't remember the exact context but it has a link to jesus, who died at the age of 33. billy was also 33 when the pumpkins broke up. if you have the 33 single, it has a picture of jesus on it. |

This song is actually a cover, it's originally by the Velvet Undergrond, who have influenced them a lot (think Caroline says). Quite simply, it's just about discovering rock music for the first time, which is a feeling U'm sure we can all relate to. It's probably the most uplifting song i've ever heard. Please people, post your thoughts, there are none for this band! |

if youhaven'tseen the videoto this song, seek it out. It's a really cool live version and you can really hear the steel drum. Visually it's really beautiful and if you've never seen them live it'll make you want to. They're playing Reading this year, and personally I thinkit's worth paying the £90 just to see them. iheartnitz, you're right about the whole drug addiction thing. |

Tool have been compared to prog rock bands and certainly you could say that their albums are like concept albums, and some themes are present in several of their albums. If you look at the artwork for Opiate, Aenima and Lateralus they all have eyes. This is also like the video of Parabola and the first thing you see when you go onto their "Dissectional" website is a third eye appearing. I just read the message posted by Makoe, who has said basically the same thing, but didn't mention the other albums. I don't really know what this song is about in detail, I think that Madson guy/girl? should contribute, if you've read any of his postings I'm sure you'll agree he is exceptionally knowledgable, in fact I wouldn't be overly supried if he is Maynard. By the way, I'm soon going to get the circle of eyes that is on the Lateralus CD tatooed on my lower back. |

hey joshthack, I'm 16, I have been a Tool fan for several years and have seen them 4 times.Other bands I like are Pearl Jam, Jane's addiction and Pink Floyd, so don't make assumptions about people's music tastes just cos of their age! |
