aaddrr is close to the mark, actually. I believe that this song is actually a continuing story started with "Stay with me (Unlikely)". The voices have succeded in pushing his lover away, leaving him alone, and in his own mind he suffers over his inability to control himself. At the end the voices mock him. Borderline Personality Disorder, also knows as "I hate you, please don't leave" disorder. He doesn't know how his brain started misfiring like this, and he doesn't know why he can't stop it, but he can see the cycle begining anew with another relationship. At least, that's how it sounds to me, I could be biased as I myself have BPD. It's definately not cool. |

Alright, I'm gonna give this a shot, wish me luck: "Sick of this mind and the games it plays mental enemy enemy enemy want to push me back again" Schizophrenia. The voices in his head, they hate him, they don't want him to succeed. "Whatever words they say (you said it) whomever they betray (you did it)" The voices in his head take control of him, make him say things, and betray those closest to him. "whenever they're awake it makes me die" Whenever the voices are there, the REAL him, his personality, is gone, untouchable. "There's so much on my mind, we're given so little time there's no way to hold on as it passes by" Here, he seems to be talking to a girlfriend or a lover. He wants to say so much, but the voices steal the time away from him. "so lead me into denial, help me forget for awhile stay with me, please don't go" He wants her to help him to forget, if even for a short time. He wants her to make him feel sane, but she is probably at the end of her rope and wants to leave. "I don't have much else to say (unlikely) I'd rather you go away (unlikely) I don't need something from you (unlikely)" The voices speak for themselves, lying to his lover. The "Unlikely" is what he screams inside his own mind, but is unable to communicate to her. "Though some say I will heal over time it doesn't seem too likely it seems unlikely" People (doctors?) tell him that he'll get better, but he knows better, the voices will never leave. Overall a very powerful song. There are other ways that it could be interpreted I'm sure, but this is the one that I happen to like. Enjoy it, love it, hate it, your choice, just remember one thing. ALL WILL BOW BEFORE THE MIGHT OF THE CELLDWELLER! kthxbye. |
