Not to dog other peoples opinions....they are very good ones indeed.....but if you ever notice that he will never sing this song live because he threw his voice out for 5 days.....the song he told people was about fans actually.....a little bit of irony it seems but yes the song is about the fans who "suck me dry".......and he was quoted later saying "I guess I pay the price for this song" (refering back to him losing his voice) but yes the record label thing would also make sense but MJK was quoted saying it was about his fans....and he will never do this song live because he threw out his voice :(

Just to throw a spin on everything, no one knows where they got "Lateralus" from but it is in reference to the muscles in the leg with that root name in them. Because honestly Maynard did say "The songs mean whatever you want them to mean and don't look to far into them" how ironic that Tool has prolly got the biggest reviews on this website :D. But I just thought i'd put a twist on it just to see what others might fabricate and what others will calumniate and believe what they want to because your opinion is yours and thats the only reason why people in the world fight.....AKA Politics *gag*

Tool – Eulogy Lyrics

The song is about Jesus. He doesn't refer to anyone in plural in this song. "You told us you weren't afraid to die" is a big load of crap Jesus was scared to die. Anyone would be if you got crucified and I don't see the humor or the truthfulness in it (sweetlilibug that means you). In Christianity the belief is that Jesus died to take away the sins of those who accepted him and recieved him as their savior and were guaranteed eternal life. The song is obviously about Jesus being crucified and Maynard's sarcasm is the fact that he wrote a Eulogy to someone he doesn't believe in. It is strictly about Jesus and theres no if ands or buts about it. "To ascend you must die You must be crucified For our sins and our lies Goodbye..." If you read in the Bible you may just find out what the heck he's talking about because it fits. And it's only a shame to see someone with such good talent have to go to hell for his incompetence as a person even though he is very wise his wisdom won't do him much in hell sadly. :( So maybe we should all write a Eulogy to Maynard and throw sarcasm in it, because I'm sure he'd love it :P

The song is strictly about being molested by his stepfather when he was younger.....the title is just something that adds to the "flavor". Take for instance "hooker with a penis" and we all know that the song isnt about that......but we know its about sell outs and how ironic wouldn't it be if we saw a hooker with a penis anywho? A male jiggalow yes i can see that, but my gosh Maynard even said it himself that the song is about him being molested by his stepfather......try toolshed.down (i think thats the site) and it gives ya all (not all but figuratively all) you need to know about Tool

Well I did look up the Golden Dawn bullcrap honestly and well....that's what it is....you do magic? :P And the site I was in is full of crap.....Jesus is God and that's all that matters....the song is about jail birds anywho, "Let bastards rot in time for all their evil" how many other ways is there to put it? Don't be so ignorant, there's many ways to say everything especially in the English language with more words then any other language but well when they talk about time and letting them rot for it I'm sure that many will agree with me that it's about people doing time......and those who want change, "I'm not begging for your fuckin' change, I'm just begging for a fuckin' change." I also read up on the Golden Dawn and this site is an antithesis to your beliefs so maybe you should research your own "religion" if i dare call it that. You're suppose to be supportive to others and this site is meant to let people bitch about their opinions :D. So i suggest you find yourself a new role-model because this religion doesnt seem to be working so well for ya. Try Jesus.....John 3:16 tells it all, you dont have to take my word for it just I don't want people to burn in hell for Adam and Eve's incompetence to NOT EAT FROM THAT FRICKEN TREE!
