| Human Waste Project – This Town(cover) Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Just for the record, the song was only done by Human Waste Project and Jonathan Davis of Korn...not Kittie or Jack off Jill, and not all three. It was on one of Human Waste Project's first demos. It's also not a Human Waste Project original...it's a cover of a song by The Gogo's. | |

It's not Jack off Jill OR Kittie, it's a band called Human Waste Project. Aimee Echo, the lead singer, even says "Human Waste in the house." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_Waste_Project. There's a link that also says it. "Most notably from this album is the song, "This Town", which is a cover of the The Go-Go's and has often been incorrectly identified as being done by Kittie. This song guest starred Korn vocalist Jonathan Davis." |

| Taproot – Mine Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I disagree with this being a love song. I think it's more of a control type of thing, rather than love. The first verse really hints at that. "I'm in control of everything...it's taking time but that's okay, I can bring you to my side." It sounds like she doesn't want to be his, and he's saying she doesn't have a choice. And then, the line "It’s not a question of how but more of when...You are one commodity, the choice is mine and mine for keeps." Yet again, it sounds like he's forcing the relationship on her...saying that them being together WILL happen. Calling the girl a commodity also isn't a compliment...it means using something to your advantage. The whole song just seems like a guy obessing over a girl. That is just my opinion though. | |
| Kelly Clarkson – Miss Independent Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| This song is extremely catchy, and I like it a lot. But, I don't like the lyrics as much as I used to. I agree with the person who said this song is more about not being independent. It seems like in the song, she gave up her independence to fall in love. Maybe I'm just cynical, but I don't think you can be independent if you're in love. You always end up relying and depending on the other person. Just my opinion though. | |
| Tori Amos – Goodbye Pisces Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I find astrology very interesting, and so when I heard this song I looked into what she could mean by "Goodbye to Pisces." I found a website that says Pisces people are sensitive, compassionate, and sympathetic. But it also said that on the darker side, Pisces can be weak willed and easily led. What I think she means in this song is that she's saying goodbye to that side of herself, so she won't be controlled anymore. Just my opinion though. | |
| Tori Amos – Spark Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Well, my take on the "She's addicted to nicotine patches" is a bit different, and more simple. I think she just meant that she had quit smoking while she was pregnant, to protect the baby. Just what I thought when I heard it though. My favorite line of this song is "If the divine master plan is perfection, then maybe next I'll give Judas a try." | |
| Marilyn Manson – Para-Noir Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Actually, in the booklet for Golden Age Of Grotesque it does say that the lyrics are "Fuck you for loving you too." | |
| Evanescence – October Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
Why does everyone assume that if a song is a religious song, it's gotta be about Christianity? I'm a pagan who worships the Goddess Isis, and this song could just as easily apply to me and my Goddess. To me, this song applies both to my fiancee whom I love, to our faith in our Goddess. |

| Evanescence – Even In Death Lyrics | 21 years ago |
| Blue_Thunder, you're right. The quote is definitely taken directly from the Crow. The sample from the end of the song sounds exactly like the little girl's voice from the movie. | |

| Tori Amos – I Can't See New York Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
I think the "13,000 and holding" is Tori singing about the original deathcount. When it first happened, there was so much confusion that they had duplicates and even triples of the missing people's names, causing them to have a higher deathcount then there really was. As for the "crystal meth in meters of millions", I think she's talking about the sheer amount of destruction that was caused when the buildings crashed. All the debris and glass was piled up everywhere. |

| Rasputina – Herb Girls Of Birkenau Lyrics | 22 years ago |
|
Birkenau was a death camp complex in the concentration camp Auschwitz, during WWII in Gemany. "Experiment victims walk by on a hill With berries in aprons, I still see them." In the camps, people had horrible experiements performed on them. They hid and hoarded whatever food they could, to stay alive. "Still see black empty eyes staring, no hair, yet ahead. There's no dignity there. They're not living not dead." The people's hair was shaved off, and they eventually became dead inside, because of what happened to them. They had no more dignity. "Swayback and Ripcord and parachute face Were pulled from the water and put in a place I've not been to, but what you'll find Is the kommandant hoarding the vegetable rinds." The people at concentration camps were led into showers, claiming they were going to be cleaned. But, no water came out of the showerheads. Instead, Zyklon B gas poured into the room, killing them all. Then, they were put into crematories where they were burned into ashes. Also, all of them were starving because the leader of the camp hoarded the food for himself. "It's not like they mattered. Who sucked out your spirit? Listen how we shout at them. They can't hear it. " To the Germans, the people in concentration camps didn't matter. So, they took away their spirit, making them practically dead inside. They screamed at them, but they learned to block everything out. "It's not fair. And it seems impossible That it happened at all. That there were people who saw The Herb Girls of Birkenau." That part is pretty self explanatory. "But what's fair? Anything is possible. But can you understand that there were people who saw the herb girls?" That part is also pretty self explanatory. |
