It's kind of random, but I actually like this song. I ran across the music video while channel surfing (yeah, MTV, so sue me). I just thought it was catchy and funny. Usually I'm not a fan of rap. I don't know much about rap, but I do know that I liked the song and that's that. |

I wanted this guy soo bad freshman year and he seemed to feel the same, but neither one of us acted on it. We both kept our mouths shut and therefore didn't 'go anywhere'. I really regret that too..
The lyrics capture my feelings (and apparently many others) so well. That's what makes Avril such a great musician. |

Did Duff write this herself? If so it's not really too terrible for a first attempt. She's waiting for something big to happen in her life...like falling in love maybe? Until then, she's just chilling out and taking life as it comes.
The song is pretty simple as far as vocal ability goes. I mean, I can sing it, lol. But still..it's her first try so people should cut her some slack. |

This song is great..simply great. I have loved OLP for the past few years and now it seems that they're finally going mainstream in the U.S. I still love the guys, don't get me wrong, it's just that now I think I will have always liked them better when they weren't as big. It sounds like the person has come to a dead end in their life. When they get there, they look back on times when they screwed up and wonder about their future. They feel desperate because they don't know what's to come. They might even fear it, so they look for comfort, hoping it will lead them to a new road..? I don't know.. but this song is awesome. The sound of the guitar in the beginning is so calm and gentle.. I just love it! =) |

Hm..looks like everyone interprets this differently.
At first I wasn't really sure what to think, but then I thought about it more and this is what I came up with..
A girl and guy are (obviously) in a relationship, but the guy doesn't really want to commit. Maybe he's afraid, so he surrounds himself with other distractions, even though on the inside he knows he wants someone to love and love him back. When the girl puts herself in his shoes, she realizes what he's going through and, filled with the same want for love, she desperately wants to pull him out of it. In the end, she leaves him because she tries to bring them closer and is willing to admit her love, but he isn't. (that last part was going by the video). |

pretty straight forward. she's just saying that you need to be comfortable in your own shoes and not try to fake it in someone else's.
this is currently one of my favorite songs.. and i wouldn't call avril pop, but she's not punk either, even though her style sort of reflects that. |
