Jimmy Eat World – Spangle Lyrics 23 years ago
I can hear the same vocal melody in The New Amsterdams song - Every double life. Whats up with that? I guess they both really like the Wedding Present

Box Car Racer – I Feel So Lyrics 23 years ago
I'm sharing an opinion, and I'm probably going to get eaten for this one, but hey, who doesn't like getting ripped shit at by people that have bad grammer, can't work the cap's lock key properly and can't spell, less form an educated and opinionated sentence :). It just seems to me that this is a commercial step to capatalize on "emo" (*cringing at the fact i just wrote that word, seeing as it is and isn't a genre*... remember when "emo" was called "indy"?) Yeah, anyways, it seems that Blink or the members who are doing this, whatever, are just taking this sideproject to capatilze on a very quickly growing and now commercialy viable subgenre of punk. I was kind of offended when Blink 182 made a side project that jumped onto the "emo" bandwagon, and blatantly exploited a genre that has meant a lot to me, and has pretty much became a part of my life. But whatever, yeah, go ahead eat my asshole if you want, im sure this comment is going to offend some. Later Slater!

Dashboard Confessional – Ender Will Save Us All Lyrics 23 years ago
I was a Dashboard fan since Swiss Army Romance, (*end elitism*), and I just wanted to share my live experience of this song. When I went to see him in Toronto, it was a surreal experience. He kept the song going for like 15 minutes. As the song finally built up to a climax, Chris unclipped his mic pack, moved the mic stand away from the front of the stage, put his guitar next to the amp so there was this feedback on the pickups, moved to the back of the stage, and did a running stage dive into the crowd. It was like I wasn't really there, and watching myself from a million miles away. Really incredible, and amazing. The best part of the show was when I waited outside the tour bus and got my copy of The Drowning EP signed by Chris along with my ticket stub. An experience that was beyond words

Dashboard Confessional – Screaming Infidelities Lyrics 23 years ago
kill.me.faster, What we would want is for MTV, and most radio to stations to not exist. This would never happen, but as an alternative, most of us want to let other people watch/hear rap, and nu-metal or what have you on the TV or radio, and let the "emo-kids" have thier underground glory. The reason *I'M* opposed to Chris being on MTV (I cant speak for all of you) is that people who watch thier rap or thier metal will start to listen to this excellent music. The problem is they wont appreciate it for how good it is as a whole. Like the people that picked up "bleed american", play air guitar to "The Middle", and who have never heard any songs on clarity, namely my favourites A Sunday, and Goodbye Sky Harbour. These people just buy the music because its what MTV shoves down thier throat, they arent capapble of appreciating it for what it is. At the risk of sounding like an elitist, if I tried hard, went out, and talked to my friends to learn about a new artist, and did all the work to find out about an "underground" or "emo" artist, without having it shoved down my throat by MTV, then I should be allowed to enjoy it exclusivley

Pixies – Debaser Lyrics 23 years ago
Just wanted to add, the part at the end, when Black Fancis is laughing like a mad man "Got Me a Movie / Ha Ha Ha Ho" is pretty cool, and original. It just adds rawness to a song that sounds so raw already. I've never seen the movie they are referring to, but its a teriffic opener to such a terrific CD. Really original and almost beyond words.
