my favorite lyrics of this song are "maybe we can meet again further down the river and share what we both discovered than revel in the veiw" that, to me, is beautiful...he's basically saying i know me and you are over right now...but maybe somewhere down the line (further down the river) we can meet again and all the things we've learned without each other, we can now experience together. |

This song is def. about smoking weed, but i know people have been saying that, so, moving on. i saw this video and people have been going on saying that this is their best video to date. I don't think so, maybe it's me...but those girls are MAD skinny, like UNHEALTHY skinny. this song represents suicidal thoughts...he's thinking of fianlly ending it. No alarms no suprises...he doesn't have to deal with the shit that's been going on no more panic attacks from all the bad things that keep going off in his life.
The part where he sings about the pretty house and pretty garden....everything LOOKS perfect...but it'll finally be perfect when he gets rid of the "alarms and suprises" and he can only think of one solution.
i think this song is so sad...the music is floaty in a way...kind of like you're drifting away to you're death....
or i could just be out of my mind...but it's how i see it. |

i love coldplay and this song is AMAZING! i cannot wait for this album to be out....the sound is SO beautiful and his voice can make anyone feel the lyrics. I heard that the band said this song was about the guy not treating the girl right in the relationship and aftre they break up he realizes he's in love with her and he's tyring to get her back. It sounds true to me...it's such a beautiful song! i love it...sorry i'm a tad excited |
