I am a huge Van fan and though I do not consider this one of his best pieces I had to inform you of a little tidbit I fould out. The origional lyrics were 'Brown SKINNED girl' not browned eyed girl, but the lyrics were considered to controversial at the time and they were changed. Sweet Thing is still the greatest Van song of all time and possibly the greatest song ever written in my mind. |
