i dont even think ist a matter of liking all his stuff or not ... more of a matter of RESPECTING the new stuff ..... so the new stuff doesn't match up to the early stuff , at last try to respect dave as an evolving artists.... but let me ask this ... if we had ten more albums like UTTAD wouldn't we WANT something different from dave? its like a catch-22 to hear the same old types of songs, over and over again , or take something new and refreshing, basically, all im saying is true fans respect an artists evolution first .. despite popularity, recocnition...blahblahblah but in the end dave is just trying to give us great music to enjoy while sitting back, getting high, and relaxing |

i think this song perfectly captures the A) emotion of losing someone you love either to death, or separation in a relationship, or B) the feeling of regret, when you want to change and event in the past that results in a beneficial consequence, instead of a negative one. |

THIS SONG REMINDS ME OF THIS BOOK I READ IN THE NINTH GRADE FOR ENGLISH CALSS"STAYING FAT FOR SARAH BYRNES" IT WAS ABOUT THIS BOY, ERIC, WHO IS BEST FRIENDS WITH A GIRL NAMED SARAH BYRNS, WHO HAD BURN SCARS ALL OVER HER FACE AND HANDS FROM HER FATHER SHOVING HER FACE INTO A POT OF BOILING WATER. ERIC WAS REAL FAT, AND SARAH BYRNS HAD SCARS, SO THEY WERE BOTH WERE MADE OUTCASTS AMUNG THEIR PEERS. THEY STUCK TOGETHER SO THEY WOULDNT HAVE TO BE ALONE GOING THROUGH ALL THE TEASING AND MAKING FUN BY OTHER STUDENTS IN MIDDLE SCHOOL. EVENTUALLY, ERIC JOINED THE SWIM TEAM .....
