i totaly agree with uprising. if you knew what this band has gone through in the past than you would be proud of them getting popular. roadrunner screwed them over (they do that to every band cept slipknot,nickleback). and when they finally signed to a good label taht actually put some fucking promoting behind their music it payed off. ive liked glassjaw for a year and a half now...i love EYEWTKAS i loveW/T. i think w.t is better though....because the weak songs on EYWTKAS arent as good as the weak songs on w.t...eventhough theres only 2 weak songs oneach hah. but the thing i like most about w.t is that daryl sings more....his screaming on EYEWTKAS got kinda nnoying at times...i mean it was realllllly high pitched and when youre blaring it high it can make you have a headache. You people should realize that bands grow in their style....just like im sure you all have. i used to like rap....then i listend to korn and now i like punk/hardcore/emo and things that i feel have way more depth in them instead of the "fuck you for fucking me" attitude of the nu metal genre. glassjaw couldnt keep playing the same stuff over and over and over...because then they would lose the passion for it. Bands love playing new stuff...they find it fun...i mean if GJ had 300 songs exactly like ry rys song or pretty lush...it would be really boring to listen to them because all the songs sound the same. bottomn line is that glassjaw didnt sell out. the fans are the ones who soldout. they think that just because glassjaw gets played on MTV they become fucking millionares? this isnt true...glassjaw still gives all they can to the fans. i saw them at warped and AFTER their meet and greet daryl waited 15 MINUTES with me just so i could get a picture with him...and the only way they got him to leave was because their tour manager told them something was reallllly important.....not alot of bands would do that for just one fan. |
