To whoever called me a idiot: First off, don't call me an idiot just because I wrote something that is different than your views. Second, I DIDN'T SAY THAT BANDS ARE CROWD PLEASERS! I said to "xglassjawx" that bands change and that is a GOOD thing because that means that they GROW.. The process of the change in music is as natural as the change in people as time passes... Bands who don't grow, are bands who don't let themselves because they're too afraid of losing their fans (That is the reason that Chocolate Starfish and Significant Other are almost identical - Limp Bizkit were too afraid to lose the fans they gained with their second disc, so they just copied it with a few exceptions in order to be a CROWD PLEASER) And even if you don't agree with the Limp Bizkit part, it is a FACT that bands who are in it for the money (and not the music like they're supposed to) make music to be a CROWD PLEASER. Geez, learn to READ. GlassJAw have changed a bit, GROWED up a lot and their music is as beautiful as ever - with such talented band members, it's hard not to create perfection... And I don't believe that they will ever turn into crowd pleasers... They have too much respect for REAL music. |

Damn. This song is AMAZING - omg... HIS voice! And when he says "lost in all my guilt - for letting you fall" I can totally relate.. The whole song is so REAL... I think most of the ppl I know can relate to being so down that you just want to end it all... And not deal with all the pain and guilt... All in all, PTW are one of my fave bands EVER and "Opposite of December" is one of the most addictive CD's EVER! :) |

All these debates about NFG being sellouts or not are STUPID. NFG have and always will make music for themselves... They just want to share their art with anyone who's willing to give them the chance. You guys should be HAPPY for NFG! They've come a loooong way from their first CD - they get the attention they deserve!! Just because their first CD was so good, it doesn't mean that "Sticks and Stones" won't be good ASWELL. Every band changes - it's a GOOD thing.. Staying the same means not growing.. And it's all about trying to be a crowd-pleaser... (i.e Limp Bizkit) I think that GlassJAw have improved a lot... And a few songs, such as "Tip Your Bartender" are very Kiss Kiss Bang Bang style which is EXCELLENT! :o) All in all, the new CD kicks major arse!! ;o) |
