i once rode my bike for a good 25 miles on day while listening to satyricon. i left around 6 at night in the summer.... so it took awhile.... on my way home, traffic died down and i pulled over in a parking lot and switched my cd to anathema's "alternative 4" and put this song on right away. it was such a nice moment and it wasn't made of anything special, just such a nice song which made me remeber my ex girlfriend and things... it was bittersweet. beautiful and sorrowful at the same time. i love it. |

the lyrics and music of this most beautiful song are extremely dream like and vauge, which most of this album is. im not even sure most of these words are english or any other languarge for that matter. however, it seems to make perfect sense, just like a dream... either pertaining to drugs (somewhat likely), or sleeping and dreams (more likely), or a combination of the two, this album is simply amazing and while it is somber, its not too dark. tiamats more recent works are far more dark than this. this album (and song in particualar) has a lot of the pink floyd influence that started in wildhoney. it really peaks here and makes for an amazing album, highly recomended. |

i belive this song to be satyrical and to be taken lightly... im not speaking for him, but to me its a sarcastic look at self loathing without being to funny/serious... |

this song hits home.... i believe its about screwing up everything around you (by whatever reason, i.e.: drugs, laziness, emotional problems, ect.) and then realzing that it wasnt worth it and maybe you should have treated people better. sometimes its not your fault though, and maybe in the end people will apoligize. |
