Firstly, this lyric's page is not to discuss whether Slipknot sucks and who is better out of them and Metallica, it's to comment on what you believe the meaning of the song is, lol. Anyway, this song seems to represent something along the lines of perhaps a child who is afraid of the dark? Afraid of the "sandman"; a mythical creature that puts people/children to sleep? The child is perhaps over alert, "sleep with one eye open" of this sandman. Although, the meaning seems a tad jumbled. It is definitely not clear. |
