| Linkin Park – Krwlng Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Korn isn't soft? Korn fucking sucks, they don't know wtf they're doing, trying to add some poppy sound into their shit, they're a bunch of fucking wannabes. And Metallica, come on, I'll admit Metallica used to own, when all they could be compared to was even worse 80s shit, metallica sold out years ago anyways. Slipknot, who the fuck even listens to those idiots? But that's beside the point, yea going onto poppy trl can make ppl soft, and yea, Reanimation is softer than HT but it's a long way from pop, especially this song. This song has a lot more in common with others by delerium than anything else that makes it onto the pop charts | |
| Enigma – Gravity Of Love Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Any song that can pull off using Carmina Burana in the background deserves some credit just for doing it well. | |
| Something Corporate – Konstantine Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| But that's being unfair Punk Rocker. Even someone who is so abonormally hideous and without the proper taste to appreciate this song should be able to make his faults known to us all by badmouthing this song | |

| New Found Glory – My Friends Over You Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Ahh, finally got around to downloading the music video, and as lame as it was, I still can't get the song out of my head, or stop singing along to it all day. I love it, this week at least, it might even have some staying power if I take it off repeat | |
| Toad the Wet Sprocket – Something To Say Lyrics | 23 years ago |

| Something Corporate – Konstantine Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Way too many things going on to give a proper response... But I was thinking about the living room part myself this morning and wouldn't that fit if she gave one of those universal "I need more room" speaches to seperate from him? God knows I've been on the receiving and giving end of that line a few times. And if that's the case he could've just picked the "living room" because of how that fits together with her telling him that she needs her own space. And hey, EndIsForever98, lighten up man, songs can mean an awful lot to people, and I'm one of those wusses that can start crying just listening to the emotion in this song, even if none of it really relates to me | |
| Something Corporate – Konstantine Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Okay, that's a first... I'd like someone to explain to me how Konstantine is pop-punk, please. Seriously, please. That defies logic right there. | |
| Athenaeum – Suddenly Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Absolutely love Athenaeum's sound | |

Oh, and just cause I'm in the mood and I have to put a little character assassination into this, in your 10:35 post you lied, you said that "but I can guarantee that in a few years time, you will deny liking this song as it considered so over the top", which is contradicted entirely by your closing thoughts -"and i have told you nothing but my opinion, and all you can tell me is yours". And as we all hopefully know, a Guarantee is much more than a simple opinion, SO THERE. That somehow totally legitimizes everything I've ever said in my life, and disproves you to an equally reciprocal extent. And after all, you can't really have "your own opinion", every thing to be thought about has most likely been thought about by someone better than you or me so BLAH. ~Caiel |

Just a couple points. Replying to JHL's last post I think you're pretty much right in the labling, excepting that there is a curseword in there, and some very slight sexual references, not like either of those take away the ebn lable, but that does violate your rule #3. I gotta disagree that ebn is killing emo though, or maybe more clearly, that if it kills emo that will be a bad thing. Even if ebn does manage to rewrite emo-as-we-knew-it there will always be some "oldschool" emo groups/hits in the future, no style of music ever completely dies out. And what can you say to that all anyways? If the music (not just a single band, mind you) is migrating a certain direction, it's for a reason, money or (more usually), for the listener's tastes. People play what people want to hear, that's the entire point of music. I love this song, I love forcing this song onto any unfortunate soul who wanders too close to my bedroom stereo, I just love the emotion in the song. I also think CreamPuff has an altogether great point, those of us who take music WAY too seriously sometimes need to just back off and not let our songs pave our life instead of just enjoying the music. ~Caiel |

| The Verve Pipe – The Freshmen Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
Okay here goes, I thought I'd add something official, although I don't really think that just because a song means something specific to who wrote it that it can't mean something else to a listener... This is from http://www.vervepipeings.com/faq.html, it's the "official fansite". Anyways... What is "The Freshmen" about? It was written by Brian Vander Ark. It told the story of a guy whose girlfriend had committed suicide. At the height of the The Freshman success, Vander Ark told reporters that the song was based on bits and pieces of a conversation he'd overheard at a party. Now he admits that the song was more personal than he previously led the public to believe, and that his actions in covering the truth were cowardly. "It happened to me," he said, "but I didn't want to expose myself in that way, especially without a safety net. It's funny because The Freshmen was written about a situation that had happened to me and I said it was about somebody else," Vander Ark says."I was feeling guilty about the success of The Freshman, because it came from exploiting a girlfriend who committed suicide. So, I thought, Okay, I'm successful now because I wrote a song about this. That's basically exploitation. Then I thought, screw it. Because I wrote this song, I made so many people happy and so many people could identify. It was therapy for those people. So, I thought, I'm a jerk but I want to be a hero." |

*foo55* "like you set of kids..." Riiiight, for god's sake you're not even older than me, don't come in here acting like we're not privy to the same eclectic views you seem to think you're solely enlightened by. That aside, you're just a fucking idiot with about as much right to comment on this stuff as I have to talk shit about you. "AND I GUARANTEE THEIR SOUND WONT CHANGE" - and how the fuck can you say that? You can't, and yet you do... baffling. And oh yea, wth is up with that "me, me, us, we..." blah blah bs. Are you as shallow as dc's lyrics or something? What genre of music (or any sub-classifcation of a group) doesn't include people of that variety? Take a look at the comments to any of the top 100 songs here and find one without the exact same shit as in this... OMG People have views??? People have favorites??? People are biased!?!? Gee, when did that happen.... Leave them the fuck alone and take your holier-than-thou shit somewhere else. And oh yea "there are some of us that heard about them long before they hit america" That's definitely an US, and oh the contradictions abound |

| Hmm, hard to describe it, a pretty good song all around, sounds really great in a simple way, definitely need to be in an odd mood. Not sure about the techno stuff in the background but the lyrics make up for a lack of anything | |
