"If I could only stop my head, From going into constant infection, Then maybe I can swim back To my own version of consistent sanity. Angelic demons, Liquid dreams, Transparent mountains Of our own reality." The line is Angelic Deamons, not demons. It's a Yeats reference. |

| New Found Glory – Sonny Lyrics | 23 years ago |

A great song, that dives into life and loss. This song is powerful and meaningful. This song means a lot to anyone who has loss a friend, relative, or someone that made an impact on their life. NFG, a truly awesome band. "The sky will never look the same again." Just, how much the person meant to Jordon. "An empty chair at all the tables." A loss, a place that will never be replaced. He loved his grandfather a lot, his nickname was Sonny. This song means, the importance of people who are close to you. Do not take them for granted, enjoy their company and know how great they are as people. I love NFG! Sticks & Stones RULES! |

| New Found Glory – Understatement Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
Well, interesting enough, NONE Of you have written anything about the SONG itself, just trying to prove to each other how smart you are. I suppose, I'm not going to call names or be a child. This is New Found GLory, one of my favorite bands (Next to Thursday). On the topic of selling out... I think punker was referring to the type of their music, I don't know if this sounds all too much like their old stuff, this sounds a little to monotonus to me, I like their old stuff better. Their self-titled album beats this album to me, I could listen to that WHOLE album on repeat for hours. I'm a music freak, and I only have a few CDs that I can listen to repeatedly for hours (i.e. System of a Down 'self titled' & toxicity, NFG, Blink 182, Green day, Reel Big Fish, just to name a few). But, what do I know? I'm just a fan of NFG for about 3 years now, nothing big. This album, to me seems to mean how Chad is sick of the fakeness of his gf or his crush. He sees her as a fake and disguisting person, always lieing and trying to prove herself better then everyone else. He wants something more, some deeper in this relationship, he can't stand her fascade anymore. SHe'll call him back, but she doesn't realize her problems. New Found Glory, one of the bands that ANYONE on this planet can relate to, the emotion, the riffs, the words, the sound itself touches you in a way other crappy notalent bands can. They don't talk about how much money they have, how much weed they smoke, they DON'T EVEN CURSE (I respect that about them more than ANYTHING), they are a true emo band, always about the girls. : ) |

| Calm down, not everyone can spell correctly. I bet your grammar and spelling aren't up to par as some people in this world. As long as he loves the music, it doesn't matter. So what if he can't spell correctly, don't be hard on him. Thursday is a band for all people, all races/faiths/taste in music. That's why we all love Thursday so much. | |
| Chicane – Autumn Tactics Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| This is one of my favorite songs of all time. I think when we all think of seasons, we have emotions that riddle our mind. I think Autumn Tactics celebrate the youth we all live and the joy we miss in our youth. | |
| Thursday – Standing On The Edge Of Summer Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
First off, I agree with the most of people on this thread. I have to say that whenever I see people that listen to THursday or emocore for certain reasons, it makes me happy. To see people that can truly appreciate this world and the emotions that throw it in it's axis, is just a beautiful sight. I have read every thread on Thursday on songmeanings.net and I have to say I'm extrmeley happy. Not saying I am one to judge, just I think it's awesome. Standing on the Edge of SUmmer, to me means the energy of life and the energy of summer. "We drive for hours and still no end in sight at all. Driving in your car, miss the stop sign, fall in love, just to get knocked out. " It celebrates the love that we all cherish and the beauty of summer, the transition to Autumn. I think that when most people read about Summer.. we think many great thoughts.. just as youths we all love Summer.. and I think this song represents all our love of Summer. Geoff, to me just writes about the purity of youth and the joy and the rapture we all share during Summer. This is just my interpritation. This song I love, because if you listen to this song: Chicane - Autumn Tactics (A BEAUTIFUL SONG!) you really do understand the energy seasons have on us all. : ) |

| Thursday – Understanding In A Car Crash Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
One thing to say before this my thoughts are said is that, this band will go far into the pages of history. No other band that I have heard has the energy, the lyrics and the power that Thursday has. The guitar riffs hit you with power, the lyrics hit you with emotion.. no other band can connect with Thursday, their music is quite different from the rest of the emocore bands. In my opinion, Understanding (In a Car crash) defines the loss of a life and the tragedy that lead up to it's end. I think Geoff is singing out a life lived, and the tragedy of a life lost. I think it's the entire feeling of complele and utter hopelessness when we see a friend dead, for no reason. It's the tragedy of a death, not expected and not deserved. "I don't want to feel this way forever, a dead lettter marked returned song. Spinning hubcaps set the tempo, of the music of you're broken window." Truly beautiful lyrics. This song I think hits every person, no matter what race/faith/age/taste in music. This song celebrates life, and questions death. I love it! |

| Thursday – Cross Out The Eyes Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| I am not sure what this song exactly means... but to my guess it means to stand up what you believe in. "divide us from our faith... and the morning dove gets caught int he telephone wire." It means to stand up what you think is true, to not be oppresed, to not be divided and conquered. | |
