my ex boyfriend~my now bestfriend~was the first person to get me into the get up kids, and this was/is our song...i think its means so much more to me now that we decied not to be together, because I still love him with all my heart...hes amazing and this wong reminds me of our realationship~were there for eachother, no matter what happends...what boyfriends i get or girlfriends he gets~i wouldnt trade him for anything, because hes still my everything :-) |

I like this songs lyrics more than the tune...but heres my take on things (which some of it isnt like other people and some of it is what others have already mentioned). She wants to look good for the other people out there and shes trying to fit into this mold that has been created for her and every other girl (hence your plastic just like everyone) this girl also wears make up because deep inside shes so insucure about her face, she thinks that if she doesnt look this certin way she will be conciderd ugly and therefor noone will like her, and every one thinks she really looks like that like her makeup is permenant, also she makes up lies to tell people about her life because again shes insucure and thinks that if they knew the truth then no one would find her interesting or exciting but hes not like all the others he wants to see the real her, right when she gets up her...the girl whose "undone" without thoses "cute" jeans he wants to see and know a real person not a barbie doll who hides behind the lies~i personally like the last sentence it sums it up that she wants to be cool and its cool to tell people "oh yea ive had sex, oh yea i once dated so and so" and to act as if your older than you are to drink to smoke to do things that fit into this psudo persona that you have created for yourself |
