I also think this is one of Creed's best songs. To me, the song is about a decision that needs to be made. The song might have to do something with the person being lost or the feeling of not being wanted. As the Stapp sings, "Hold me now, I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking, that maybe six feet aint so far down." Beautiful song. The band is great.

This is a great song. And loopydate is right. The original was written by Harry Chapin, and Ugly Kid Joe does a tremendous job singing this. As you could tell the song is about a man who had no time for his son as he grew up and the son kept telling him that he was going to be like his father. And it turns out that way. The son who is married and has kids now does not have time for his father. As the end says, "He'd grown up just like me, my boy was just like me." |

This is one of the greatest songs of all time. And in case none of you knew, this song has never been radio edited, everytime the song has been played they play the full 6 minutes. Just a fact. And also, this song has to mean something to Freddie. And I read that some of you stated that nobody knew he had AIDS, and that's because he didn't want to tell anyone. Because if he did, his fans would feel sorry for him and would always feel that way. That's why he waited so long to tell us. And if you guys didn't know this already, Freddie announced he had AIDS the day before he passed away. Fredde didn't want to be remembered as to having AIDS, but as the greatest performer of all time and I think he is. He knew he was sick, but went out every time and gave 110% to his fans. Freddie may you rest in peace. You are truly the greatest friend, performer, song writer that the world has ever gave us. We are blessed to have known you and the band that all of us have grown to love. GOD SAVE THE QUEEN. |

The 6 minute version of the song is the best. The song was written towards Julian. Also I read that at the 3 minute mark of the song, you can hear John say a four letter word that is meant for Julian. I have tried my best to hear what it was but could not. But I think it is "love." |
