Perhaps u need to get out more cos comin n pickin fites just 4 the sheer hell of it is pretty pathetic n in case u didnt no most of the time the courts favour the mum in child battles n cos hes in a band i fink that he probs gave the kid up cos he new that he'd b tourin a lot. Its on tv n radio a lot cos its requested a lot...meanin its a great song...it annoys me wen ppl dislike a song just cos loadsa ppl like it-sheshhh its still a good song regardless. heres wat i fink:
'one devotion to an empty moment' sum1s devoted almost everythin to nothin/somethin that didnt work out and now they need to discuss wat went wrong 'can u stay tonite'? When it gets to the part about 'shes on her knees , til im feelin so useless' the girl seems to be dealing wif the situation badly and the bloke feels bad but he knows they need to break up or wateva so he cant comfort her and so feels useless. Then when the girl begs for annuva chance they seem to have sumhow sorted out the problem 'the air is clearin' and summat not really that pleasurable (water) has turned to summat good (wine). Im not sure bout all the 'the day is tired, the nights inside her' bit but i'm guessin when she begs for annuva chance wif her arms wide open as though shes about to hug the bloke or go to bed wif him...the bloke realises how manipulative she really is and he kinda wakes up to reality again 'but now im awake...' but the thing is he loves her 'keep breathin to feel somethin, take my breath away' this shows that altho he does feel for this girl he doesnt want to...he asks for his breath to be taken away cos wen he breaths he feels somethin for her. Summin this up he wants to get ova a gurl cos he shes dun summat rong and he realises how manipulative she is, but she begs for forgiveness and plays on the fact that he has feelins for her, this makes him mad at himself. maybe its my ears but hoobastank don't sound that much like incubus (n the lead singer in hoobastank doesnt get his top off at evry chance :p )-in fact id sey i like hoobastank betta than incubus. Sum1 wrote how hoobastanks songs lasted around 3mins...well most songs do-duh-its cos if songs were too long u'd get bored with them. Also people wrote how hoobastank is just a one hit band...isnt it funny how these messages r always written on the boards of the most well known hoobastank songs (u no the 1s constantly played on mtv2 n kerrang) perhaps before making accusations about being one hit wonders people should actually listen to more than one song (i mean...how can i b 'impressed' by your 'knowledge' of hoobastank if you dont have n e). Finally if sum of u ppl hate hoobastank so much y r u actually bothering coming to look at their lyrics..surely thats a bit dumb? so either ur tryin to pick sum kinda stupid argument ova the net or ur just xtremely bored n have nufink betta to do wif ur shitty lifes. This songs 1 of hoobastanks best :) i love it and the album is always playin on my cd player-YAYYYyyyy
