| I love this song for some reason and I just can't explain why. It has a great beat and lyrics that are just fun. | |
| TRUSTCompany – Downfall Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| You know what... sometimes the "CD" lyrics aren't exactly what is said. The actual "written lyrics" for a song isn't always what they sing/record... I hear "what I see" when I listen to it. Not that you care :) | |

| Lmao.. this is so wrong.. but funny. | |
| Stephen Lynch – Superhero Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| This song is the funniest song... I love the ending! | |
| Brad Paisley – Who Needs Pictures Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| This is really sweet, yet sad song... reminds me too much of my life. Country is pretty straight forward so its not like I need to explain the "deeper meanings" behind it... its basically all right there for you | |
| Michelle Branch – Everywhere Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
I think its about the man of her dreams, who she hasn't met yet, and she keeps looking for him.. but he's only in her dreams. Possibly... he died/doesn't like her back/he doesn't exist... Now.. for a mini-rant... Music is only what it means to you. Just because a person believes this song is about God, doesn't mean it isn't. I am in no way religious. I believe in some higher power, and I respect that.. but this isn't about my religious background. Its about music. Songs that have multiple possible meanings sell the best. Why? Because if its written to where it can be about a guy, or about God.. then you satisfy more people, and sell more records. End. Of. Story. |

| 98 Degrees – I'll Give It All (Interlude) Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| This song means alot to me.. its the first song I dedicated to my girlfriend.. its so short, so simple, and there's no lines that "just don't quite fit the situation" You know what I'm talking about.. like a song that's EVERYTHING you want it to be.. but one line isn't right... Example(I pulled this out of my head) "We've been together three years.." Yeah... pretty soon its four years... But I'm picky.. I hate dedicating songs to my baby that aren't completely true.. and this is the first one I found that's completely and totally true | |
| Eminem – White America Lyrics | 23 years ago |

CORRECTION!!! Its NOT "to burn the casket and replace it with a..." If you reverse it, the word that is supposedly "casket" is flag... Eminem just said "flag", and reversed it! The same thing happens on Hailie's Song.. "i'm so glad that her mom didn't.... " Its "want her" if you play it in reverse.. |

rant You know what bugs me? This is a sort of off topic rant.. and I'll probably get flamed for it... But why do people just come comment stuff like "pop sucks I hate it" People like PAINTING... those are the kind of comments artists deserve. You shouldn't just say "i hate vanessa shes pop and she sucks like every other pop group out there even though ive only heard one of her songs and even though im not intelligent to understand what it means because im obviously not intelligent enough to use punctuation or proper grammar" (My impersonation of half the people that go into any message board/chatroom and say "____ sucks" ) I just want to say THANK YOU to painting for saying WHY she likes or dislikes who she does... /rant |

Michelle Branch wrote her first song when she was 14. Vanessa Carlton wrote her first piece of music WITH lyrics at 17. Michelle Branch was born July 2, 1983 Vanessa Carlton was born August 16, 1980 Here's some simple math for you. 83 + 14 = 97 80 + 17 = 97 They BOTH began writing their first songs (with lyrics) around 1997. As for record deals. Michelle (from her site) "December 6th (2000) I signed the deal. " Making her 17 years old. Vanessa (from an article found at mcall.com) "At 17 ... began writing songs and started playing gigs downtown. A year later she signed a record deal." This means it was the year 1998. This means that VANESSA had a record deal first. As for saying that Vanessa is copying Michelle's style. (from an interview... I forgot where I found it) Since you essentially had 21 years to make your first record, was it difficult to choose which of your songs to include? "It was hard because I've grown a lot since some of these songs have been written. There's an innocence to some of them that I don't think I'll ever capture again, just because they're the first songs I ever wrote. But they belong. I looked at the album as a body of work, and whatever fit, fit. What didn't is on the back burner, ready for the next one" She did NOT just run out and write these songs... they are OLD songs that she had written before anyone even heard of Michelle Branch. I am NOT trying to say who is copying who, or even if there is copying. This is just some INFORMATION. Some facts, that you should consider before saying that either copied either. I took the time to do some research on this to shut people up. =D |
