i love how there is always "that guy" who tries to talk shit about bands when they explore different horizons of music. Miss Machine and Ire Works are fucking incredible albums. Calculating Infinity, Two For Flinching, Under the Running Boards, and Irony Is A Dead Scene are also just as fucking incredible. But you cannot expect any band to keep making the same exact music or else it will all just get boring and that's how bands fade out. Dillinger did nothing wrong with Miss Machine and Ire Works. So just like +}-136-{+ said, GET OVER IT.

loser4all you are definitely wrong about the interlude being a "Jimi Hendrix interlude." i just got done saying on the "Throwin' Shapes" lyrics that Minus the Bear reminds of a modern day Pink Floyd. And this songs just goes to prove it. These guys are musical geniuses. no, Stupendous Man, the last verse is correct the way it is.
and i kind of think that this song is about how an ex-girlfriend is taken to the beach by a new dude who is trying to woo her and being poetic about taking her to the beach while its raining. and i think the very last verse backs up this claim.
i think the guy refers to "her" as the storm, "Would you go in? She'd have us soaked wet."
but to the girl, the storm reminds her of his touch. "Her fingers touching bare skin, makes you miss him."
that's my take on this song. guy trying to impress a girl only reminds her of "his" touch.
i can't see how any Minus the Bear fans dislike this album. or Menos El Oso for that matter. i have all their songs and i can listen to all them through and through and not be sick of it by any means. this band is seriously amazing.
i know this next comment may get some negative feedback, but i like to think sometimes (especially after listening to Planet of Ice) that Minus the Bear is a modern Pink Floyd. seriously, listen to Lotus and tell me that it doesn't sound like a take on some Pink Floyd, it's absolutely amazing and these guys are geniuses and absolutely amazing musicians. |

so to me, this song goes out to the guy that stands up for his chick and kicks the shit out of the dude that should NOT have put his hands on her.
and to the part that says, "Oh God, just what have i become." that is simple, the same person telling the story isn't normally a violent person but since his girl means to world to him, he let his chaos take control and ripped that dude to pieces.
this song is absolutely amazing, as well as the rest of the album. these guys have definitely earned their way into becoming one of my favorite bands. |

An interview with Belgian metal magazine "Aardschok" has raised speculation, denial and anger amongst the Slipknot fanbase. In the interview, Mr.Taylor speaks of the nontet in a negative and regretful tone, as well as bluntly criticising fellow band mate Shawn Crahan. Taylor allegedly referred to Slipknot as "the biggest baddest joke ever told" and said that it "isn't the band it deserves to sell three million records"

if anyone wants to really try and get inside the head of Serj, read his book of poetry, "Cool Garden." Its FULL of amazing fucking literature and artwork. for awhile i was sick of SOAD because the fuckin radio played out Toxicity. dont get me wrong..i love the album..but its nowhere NEAR as good as the self-titled..anyway..since Steal This Album! i have rediscovered SOAD again, and they fucking rock hard. there are still songs they should release on CD though after they make Toxicity2...like The Metro, Marmalade and Legend of Zelda...lol...only thing that disturbs me greatly is that i read in a magazine that SOAD is going to be going pop-rock..and if they do i will be usin their cds for beer coasters...peace out all
