| this is one of my favorite lifehouse songs. When i was 14 i taped it off the radio and listened to it a million times. When i finally figured out who it was i went and bought the cd. it made me so happy when i heard it. i use to dance around my room to it...who cares why or to who exactly jason wade wrote it too? it's a great song...just enjoy it and attach your own meaning to it... :) | |

umm...this song is actually about Jason Wade's dad after his parents went through a divorce. He resented his dad. It was one of the earlier songs he wrote. It makes me think of a friend that treated me really badly. I saw her as the only one...b/c she never changed. |

| this is by far the best written of all the lifehouse songs. Irrelevant to what it "really means" it is a beautiful song. songs are written so that people interpret it however they want...it's meant to touch each person and it could only do that if everyone has different meanings attached to the song. To me it reminds me of both my best friend he's everything to me... | |

i recently downloaded this song and i love it. what the songwriter meant it to say isn't quite as important as how the listener interprets it. i'm away from home for the first time and in a long distance relationship. this song reminds me of my boyfriend. "if i could just see you everything would be alright if i had to see you this darkness would turn into light " i feel the same way as the song...my storm is just college and living on my own without the person i love and need with me. |
