Everyone has a song that is 'their life in a nutshell' this is mine! Every stinking word of it! When I was married, (to a horrible man) he treated me badly, but yet, i begged him to stay home, or begged him to love me, and he still left. (and you bring me to my knees, again, all the times i could beg you please, in vain) And you take all that bad for so long, then when its over, and your normal again, and you look back, you see they are the ones who are screwed up!! If he called me ugly, it was because HE was ugly! (inside your ugly, ugly like me) I think of all the times I tried to make it work only to realize now, that it wasnt worth it! What a great meaningful song!!!! Much better on the cd without Fred Durst though! |

I tend to 'love' bands that write their own music, because you love them, so the music means more to you cuz it means more to them.....But who doesnt like a good song regardless of who wrote it? I have a friend who is a songwriter, and she definately isnt in a suit sitting around a table. The songs she writes are from 'her' heart, she just isnt lucky enough to be famous and sing her own songs......maybe some day, but it isnt always a bunch of suits sitting around writing songs. People who write songs, sell their songs to make a living, and it is like any other art! Being a songwriter you have to be inspired. Maybe not the britney spears pop crap, but many people do write from their hearts. And not everyone has a beautiful voice, to sing their own songs!!!! |

To me, it means you give everything to someone, put up with their crap, and when the relationship ends (in the end) it doesnt matter! (it starts with love) It is like an epiphany, when the relationship ends, you think back, and nothing you did made anything any better. And, until you 'fall to lose it all' you dont realize what was going on in your life. Kinda like when you break up with someone and think, 'what was i thinking?' |

Its obviously about drug addiction. His head is not clear, because hes stoned, when you smoke the whole thing to your head, it means smoking alone 'to the head'. So hes depressed, and gettin high.
