My thoughts about this song seem to be slightly different then everyone else's. If any of you have every eaten mushrooms before, then this song might take on a new meaning (especially the last verse). This is one of my absolute favorite songs and a true testament to Incubus' greatness. Can't wait to see them in July. |

The General is one of the best songs ever written in my opinion. Whether or not it is about Jesus or it is an anti-war message, the lyrics and the music are both amazingly beautiful. I listen to this song more then once a day and it makes each day so much better. I encourage anyone who likes this song to listen to other Dispatch songs but especially to "Out Loud", "Two Coins", and "Flying Horses". -JP |
