eh...this song is alright...itd be so much better if the lyrics were: Let the bodies hit the floor Let the bodies hit the floor Let the bodies hit the floor Let the bodies hit the floor Beaten, why for? Can't take much more One - nothing wrong with me Two - nothing wrong with me Three - nothing wrong with me Four - nothing wrong with me One - something's got to give Two - something's got to give Three - something's got to give Now let the bodies hit the floor Push me again This is the end One - nothing wrong with me Two - nothing wrong with me Three - nothing wrong with me Four - nothing wrong with me One - something's got to give Two - something's got to give Three - something's got to give Now let the bodies hit the floor Skin against skin Blood and bone You're all by yourself but You're not alone You wanted in and now youre here Driven by hate Consumed by fear Let the bodies hit the floor One - nothing wrong with me Two - nothing wrong with me Three - nothing wrong with me Four - nothing wrong with me One - something's got to give Two - something's got to give Three - something's got to give Let the bodies hit the floor |

I Agree with ladyjustice, I believe this is about a guy who kills a girl and buries her in a shallow grave in the woods...'when the dogs begin to smell her'. I can see how you could interpret this song in many ways. However, 'when I'll try to hold my breath' doesn't necessarily mean that she's dead and buried. Wanting to feel free could be understood as worthless men beginning to sniff around her, trying to get with her. And 'And my dying lips will be forced to crack a smile' could be thought of as will she be the only one that these men are after, or does she stand a chance of avoiding them. Dogs could also mean ruin. That when ruin finds her, will she just go down, or will he go down too. Just a thought or two about this song. It is such a great song I'd hate to think that it's about a rape victim. The only person that can truly tell us the meaing to this song, of course, is Bob Saget. |
