im commenting on sentimentalfools meaning on this song,i think that was such a great idea to thing of it as drug wise. it really made me think about the song more,and if everyone else thinks about it,it makes alot of sense when geoff says "We followed white lines to the sunset" it could mean white lines meaning cocaine,and the needle parts being about heroin and "staring at the setting sun..."that whole part could be afterwards just staring into no where no reason to come back again"the needle and the damage done" and "i dont want to feel this way forever" .The colors also mentioned,the blue and white could also be vein wise blue veins white cocaine etc..,just re-listen to this song and think of it as trying to get over a heroin addiction it makes alot more sense then trying to depict the song as getting into a car crash and having a loved one die.Sentimental thanks so much i cant tell you how much your meaning makes sense,rock on! |
