Well, i ahven't heard any other VR song but "Shatterday"... I was just checking out their other lyrics... Very morbid and violent, but hey, whatever rocks your socks. I do like the emotion. Anyway, this song made me thing of World War II with the whole "blood soaked babies on bayonetts" thing. I think that happened in The Rape of Nankir (sp?) when the Japanese invaded China. Probably doesn't have anything to do with it but that's what it made me thing of... |

what i thought this song was about was like a friend that became famous or something and kind of forgot who they were 'did you lose yourself somewhere out there/did you get to be a star' but is longing to get away from it 'don't it make you sad to know that life is more than who we are' and the friend is saying to them that if they wanted to 'hid beside them, maybe for a while' that they 'wouldn't tell anyone their name' to let them escape from their success for a moment...but that's just what i think... this is my favorite song of all time and the Goo Goo Dolls are my fav band!!! |
