This song is about a relationship that he is having with a bipolar self-mutilator. He refers to her as "Miss Vincent" and makes references to the painting The Starry Night because Vincent Van Gogh was a bipolar himself. She seems to be losing herself to her addiction (of harming herself) because he says "You told me once I made you smile" as if she wouldn't even lie about that now. I can relate to this song because one of my closest friends is a bipolar self-mutilator. |
