| Björk – Isobel Lyrics

According to Bjork's site, this song is Part 2 in a 'song trilogy'. First is Human Behaviour, then Isobel, then Bachelorette. Same character, showing her development. I thought this was a neat piece of info to pass on. |

It's about a girl who's pushing away a particularly boring suitor. I think the sex metaphor is about them not connecting on any level whatsoever. |

I agree with petrol_addict, except I think Bjork's character in the song is trying to fool everyone but herself, but ends up believing that she should be "playing dead". She focuses so much on the pain that she forgets everything else. |

| Lenny Kravitz – Black Velveteen Lyrics

In an interview, Lenny said that this was in fact a song about a futuristic robot woman. It's about how in the future love will become a meaningless emotion and you could resort to a robot to get your pleasure and companionship. Weird, but at the same time, frightening, because I know people who actually would take the robot over a human companion. O_o |

| Cradle of Filth – Her Ghost In The Fog Lyrics

I honestly though Cradle of Filth was some kind of satire or something when I saw this video. They were just so over the top. Then I found they were serious, and I laughed my ass off. Go figure. |

Oh no. A woman playfully describes some sexual independence so it must be smut. :\ If a man sang similar lyrics this song would've been widely accepted. Get a freakin' clue people. She liked sex, she sang what she knew about, so she sang about sex. It's a great song with a great beat. Her best, probably. Cry me a river. |
